What I Loved:
The illustrations in this book were so bright and colorful! It’s a stunning collection of images that will keep children engaged through each page! My daughter and son were both delighted to call out the letters and numbers as we moved through the book as they took in the beautiful artwork!

How I Felt:
ABCs and 123s for Boys is a collection of lovely illustrations that correlate to a letter or number. My kids really enjoyed the scenes for each one. The names for the animals are all boy names, but that should not be a reason to restrict this to one gender. I would really like to stress that this book is completely perfect for boys and girls, so don’t be deterred by the title.

To Read or Not To Read:
I would recommend ABCs and 123s for Boys to boys and girls up to early elementary school! It’s a great way to reinforce counting and letters for young children!

I was provided a gifted copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

My full review of this book will post to my blog on 7/30/20. I read this book with my friend’s 3 year old and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He loved the characters and the colors and wanted to read it again and again.

The author did a wonderful job with the characters. Each page has a character doing something wacky and hilarious. Even as an adult, I laughed at Yanni the Yak and Walter the Wolf. Moreover, another thing that I liked was how many characters have diverse names from different cultures. While this would not make any different to the child, I appreciated the author for incorporating this. It would help children get used to various names and not behave any differently.

Another important part of any children’s books is the illustrations. The artwork by Adit Galih is breathtaking and makes the characters come alive. The colors are vibrant and holds the reader’s interest. Furthermore, all the characters look so cute and adorable, including the sharks and alligators. I think a reader of any age group would appreciate the details put into each page for the illustrations. Personally, I loved the color contrasts of Jacob the Jester and Frank the Fox. They compliment the narration so well.

Overall, this is a wonderful book to get the young ones to learn the numbers and alphabets. It would hold their attention and focus on the bright colors and quirky characters.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

ABCs and 123s by Tom McLaughlin is a wonderful book for small children until the age of 4 or 5.
The first thing that your kid will notice is the illustrations, they are so colorful and vibrant. They cover the whole page and they
are quite funny and entertaining. It's filled with animals and people who are doing something fun.

About the writing part of the book: It's separated into two parts the letters and the numbers. Each letter has a little cute rhyme that
will bring a smile to your face and it will make learning so much easier for your kid. The same happens with the numbers as well.
You could read it as a bedtime story or if the kids are old enough you can ask them to read it to you (from my experience they
love to do that, they feel so smart and accomplished).

I might be an adult but I loved this book and I read it twice!!! I highly recommend you to buy this not only it will be enjoyable for
our little friends but you will also support local artists, editors, and designers.
I would like to congratulate Tom McLaughlin and Adit Galih for their great work.

I want to thank Tom McLaughlin, author and Goodreads First Reads Giveaway for the eBook Kindle copy of ABCs and 123s for Boys that I won in the Giveaway.

Most of my professional time as an educator, I worked with preschool children, mostly four year old's and alphabet and counting books are very popular with this age children. They are learning letters, counting and number awareness so this book is great to add to a classroom collection of books that are appropriate and on topic for the preschool classroom or a private collection for reading at home.

ABCs and 123s for Boys has wonderful illustrations, great use of words and fun language that is appealing to young children. I loved how colorful this book is and the flow of words that draw children into the reading of this book.

Let's Get Ready For FUN!!!!

This is an absolutely exciting book and I highly recommend this book for boys and girls. The storyline is engrossing and the illustrations are eye catching. The Alphabet part uses the letter many times in the sentence about the picture.
I picked out a few examples to share.
B Ben the bee bounces off a banana tree. (Funny)
H Hank the hippo eats handful of hotdogs. (Sure can eat)
T Tyler the terrier does tricks for treats. (Good dog.)
4 Four frogs feast on flying bugs. (Jump frog!)
Wonderful and fun story for you to learn, read, or listen to
Enjoy!!!!! ?
ABCs + 123s for Boys is a perfect book for new little readers! The illustrations are so vivid and go perfectly with each adorable alteration.

My son is one and coming from a new mama I love that this not only teaches letters and numbers but also animals, colors, items, places, and names! It combines so much learning in two short stories which is marvelous! Also, it says “for boys” however this is definitely for any gender! The animals may all have “boy” names, however the learning aspect would be great for any child!

Definitely a book I would love to buy my little one and a great book for more than just ABCs and 123s!

Find this review at Jotted by Jena

This cute fully illustrated book will teach children their alphabet and how to count. The book is separated into two sections and can easily be read in one sitting or two separate readings. The illustrations were beautiful and diverse. Children will love the rhymes, the characters, and the fun scenes. I am not sure why it says "for boys" but, it can be read to anyone. I am assuming the author and illustrator both have boys and wanted a book "just for them". I liked that the book included a spot for children to write in their names.

The illustrations in this were simply adorable. They were very interactive! My son is just under two years old and we practice his ABC’s everyday with flash cards. This book was a nice way to still practice those everyday letters in a new way. It also provides a great introduction to numbers, as we have not gotten past the number three. From Alex the alligator (astronaut) to the ten tigers on the shore. We enjoyed going over every detail in these vivid pictures. My son had a lot of fun imitating the animals and watching me try my hardest to imitate them as well.
Tim McLaughlin certainly has a way with children’s books. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!

See my review on Miss Elizabeth coming 7/31/20.
