After the Blitz by Savannah Adams is a delightful start to a truly addicting romance series!

I have been slowly but surely working my way through The Inman Brothers series. This awesome sports romance series is a must read for those seeking something light hearted and filled with happily ever afters. There's drama, there's comedy and there's lots of sweet and engaging romance!

This book introduces us to Chip. He's an amazing football player who suffers a traumatic brain injury and is having memory loss. In walks Greta, an old friend/tutor from years ago who he may have had a crush on. She's a dog groomer who wants to train service dogs, which is just a super cool job idea. They are a unique pair but are oh so adorable!

There is a bit of trouble in paradise for Greta's work life balance when she finds herself having feelings for Chip. Little does she know, it's mutual. This is a sweet romance with lots of fluffy and a healthy hint of drama. It's the feel good kind of book us romance readers need right now. It's also not overly long so if you want a good book for binging, this book is it! I love Savannah Adams for this reason - sweet, happily ever after romances that are long enough to appreciate but short enough to binge.

Other fun notes? Goat yoga, mistletoe and ugly christmas sweaters! Also, Roxanne. You'll probably hate her as much as I do by the end.

Overall, this is a heart warming book for a frosty time!

Five out of five stars!

The first book in the series brings Chip and Greta's story. It's a heartfelt story of finding what's most important in your life. It's a sweet love story that comes from Chip's injury and amnesia and Greta's help in his recovery. The author does a beautiful job building their story and bringing all the feels , keeping you glued to the pages right to the end. Well done!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

This was short and sweet and a little different, as sports romances go.

Talented collegiate QB Chip (H) is injured on the field during a game, suffering a concussion and significant memory loss. Former school classmate Greta (h) runs into his family at the hospital, where she volunteers with her therapy dog. Chip responds to Greta and her dog, even though he can't remember them, and his family encourages her to keep coming to visit, hoping to jog his memories. But when he remembers, will he continue with the plans from his former life, or decide this is a chance for a redo with what - and whom - he truly wants?

I liked this one. It's sweet and simple, and a lot about being honest with who you are and what you want in life. A novella, making for a short afternoon read. Straightforward and clean and low-angst, it's really almost a YA rather than a NA read.

Roxanne is definitely a high-drama story arc. As much as I wanted Chip to really stand up to her, I can see why he didn't. Memory is such a scary thing to lose - it's not just instances you're forgetting; it's your whole personality that can be altered, and how that connects you to everyone around you. When you can't remember who someone is or how much history you have, it's hard to cut them out of your life based on a few encounters.

I liked their memories of high school - both crushing on the other, but thinking "I'm not right for them" for different reasons. Made it satisfying when they finally did get together. The grand gesture was a sweet full-circle.

I liked the football outcome to this one too. As much as I enjoy sports romances, I also enjoy college ones where the athlete isn't necessarily a 1st round draft pick, whether for personal reasons or deciding what they really want to do or whatever. I just like the view sometimes that even when you're passionate or talented or whatever, you can still be more than just the sport. It's not just playing the game - it's the whole life. Which is really represented here between the two women in Chip's life. And sometimes someone wants more or different things in their life. And that's OK too! Doesn't mean the game and their accomplishments are worth any less. I just like that balance, I guess.

Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating. Love triangle/OW drama with Chip's girlfriend (or is it his ex - he can't remember!). No OM drama through. Fast, light, clean. HEA and epilogue. No cliffhangers.

Would I read more in the series/by the author? Sure. This was a warm'n'fuzzy quick read with enjoyable characters and fairly low angst. Would be interesting to see where the other brothers' stories take them.

Chip Inman is the star QB for Kent University. He's playing in his last home game when he's hit and must deal with a hospitalization due to a major concussion. To make matters worse, he's suffering from amnesia. Greta visits the hospital every week to take her therapy dog Sammie to visit the kids with cancer. It's during one of the visits that she's requested by Chip's parents to continue visiting him at the hospital and elsewhere because she "triggers" memories for Chip.
The interaction between the Inman family is wonderful because they're all supportive of Chip. Greta doesn't have the same support as her Mom still suffers depression from her Dad's death.

This book is a semi-emotional roller coaster. You want Chip to desperately get his memory back, but there are times when you hope he doesn't. After all, he's learning about Greta all over again. Greta's character is a bit timid at times, but she's still a strong person. She's not loud and obnoxious like Roxanne. Who is Roxanne? Well, you'll have to read the book to find out.

This is a new author to me and I'm already hoping for more books in the future involving the Inman family. I've been given an ARC from Booksprout so that I can read and leave an honest review. Well, I enjoyed the book so much that I've ordered it as well. I just loved Chip and Greta!!

In case you were wondering, HEA and no cheating!! There's elements of steaminess, but overall it's a clean love story. We can all use those types of stories too!!

This is really a feel good novel! An easy to read story with a happy ending.

Chip is a rising star on the field and has the qualities to play at high level in the NFL. However, during his last home game, he has an accident and ends up in the hospital. When he regains consciousness after 2 days, he has lost his memory.

Greta knew Chip in high school, she even helped him as a tutor to improve his English so that he would pass, she still gets jitters in her stomach when she thinks of him. When she accidentally visits him in the hospital, it turns out that she evokes memories and so Chip's parents ask if she wants to visit more often. She can't pass up this offer even though she knows she has to keep her feeling out of it. Chip starts to appreciate her more and more and wonders why he never asked her to go out with him.

Slowly memories come back, slowly they grow together, until reality catches up to them. Roxanne is her name.
What does this mean for a possible future for Greta and Chip? Greta knows that she is not a woman who wants to get publicity when Chip makes a name for himself in the NFL. Is Chip's future with Roxanne or Greta? Is Chip's future on the field....and what kind of a field?

I read the last page with a smile on my face

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When Chip Inman, star quarterback of the Kent University team, is injured in a game, he is hospitalized with a concussion and amnesia. Greta Griffin, a sweet young woman, visits the hospital each week so that her therapy dog, Sammie, can interact with the children who have cancer. Greta knew Chip from high school and had always had a crush on him.

During one of Greta’s visits to the hospital, Chip’s parents ask her to visit with Chip since it seems to help him trigger memories. He will need his memory back before the NFL draft, so this is important to them as they support his goals. However, being with Greta allows him to focus on her and how she makes him feel. Will he regain his lost memories? Or will he find the ones he is making with her have become the ones he wants to keep?

This book engenders very special feelings – and especially with Sammie, Greta’s adorable therapy dog. The characters are likable and the story line is well-paced. Even when a girlfriend arrives on the scene and shakes things up, it may not be enough to turn his new interest away from Greta as he remembers and finds what is most important to him.
I feel like I should give this book more like 3.5 stars. It was a pretty quick read but I almost felt that it was too short and I needed more from it. This book seemed more like a love triangle with some drama than a sports drama/romance.
I liked the characters and really liked Greta but I was kinda confused as to what happened between Greta and Chip after high school. I loved that her character included her dog Sammie and it was interesting to learn that she wanted to train service dogs. I wish the author went into a little more detail about it but I felt this story was more about Chip and his life. I was glad though that Greta fit really well with Chips family and understood things about that family much more than Roxanne.
I really did not like Roxanne and I don’t know what Chip saw in her at all. It was definitely one of those relationships that he thought he should be in since she was a cheerleader.
I’m glad this story ended on a good note though and left me with no questions left unanswered. I’m curious about the rest of the series but probably won’t seek it out for a while.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading the story about Chip and Greta. The story begins with Chip playing in a football game as a star quarterback, unfortunately the game ends for him with a bad hit to a head. When he wakes up he doesn't remember anything not as parents, not as life or anything else. Greta is a young woman who works at a dog wash, and volunteers her time with her dog Sammie at the children's Cancer Ward. One afternoon when leaving she happened to run into Chip's mom and she asked if Greta would come upstairs and talk to Chip, hoping that might jog a memory. Over the next several weeks Greta spends time with chip trying to get him to remember something, every once in a while he'll get a little blip but it's fleeting. Great HEA where true love prevails.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have to confess I am not a fan of YA and sports stories, but when this audio was recommended , I decided to give it a try.
This sweet sports romance centers around Chip Inman and Greta Griffin. Chip, a senior in college, has a future in the NFL all planned but when an injury in a game injures him and leaves him with amnesia, he is left wondering if this is a blessing in disguise.
Greta, a young lady who is a dog groomer and also has a therapy dog whom she takes to visit the children in the hospital , at one time was Chip’s English tutor. She had a crush on him, but she felt she was not good enough for him.
When Greta and Chip meet again in the hospital, life as they knew it would be forever changed.
This was a story about new beginnings and second chances in life and love. Not only were the main characters sweet but so were the secondary characters.
