Re-read October 2021
Perfect comfort read (despite the BAD editing).

-----------------------

4.5 stars

This book needs some serious editing. So if you are bothered by spelling mistakes, bad grammar, and mixed up names, don’t read this book. Like how you’re was almost always spelled as your, Jace was suddenly named after the stuffed animal Jared, and some sentences just didn’t make a lot of sense.

But that being said, I did enjoy the story itself. I can overlook bad writing if I like the characters and the actual story. And that was the case here. There was an overall adorableness to Avery, and Jace was just so sweet to him, that I really liked this despite the many many mistakes.

I especially liked all the hurt/comfort, with Avery trying to work 3 jobs and go to school, who lived in a tiny apartment and who didn’t always have money for food. That story arc gets me every single time! A young man who has trouble taking care of himself, and the Daddy who will rescue him and take care of him, oh yeaaaah!

Jace has watched Avery for months when he’s come in for a cup of coffee at his favorite coffee shop. Avery looks tired and worn out, and Jace wants nothing more than to take the shy barista home to take care of him. And of course to call him Daddy and let Jace dress him in cute onesies.

Avery is struggling. Adulting is just so hard! When he meets sexy Jace, he isn’t sure what the older man would want with him, but it seems like Jace really is interested in him.

When Avery breaks down at a bus stop and Jace comes by, Jace promises himself that from now on Avery will have him to take care of him, so he picks up the boy and takes him home…

I’m always a bit sad when I find a book I like but it seems it’s not proofread, or edited at all. It’s not that much work to have someone else remove the spelling mistakes or to try to ‘fix’ certain sentences. But enough about that. I still enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more books in this series!

Reto #21 PopSugar 2020: Un libro publicado en el mes de tu cumpleaños.

Qué libro más tierno!! Avery y Jace fueron maravillosos!

Muero por leer la historia de Caleb y Grant! Y la de Mitch, por supuesto.

2.5 why did I pick up this book stars! ??
I don’t think I’m cut out for these “Daddy-Little” books.. this is my second one and it just weirded me out. ? In my defense it was in the “erotica” category in Kindle and that’s why I decided to read it; but there is nothing erotic about it, only cringey. I finished it out of curiosity .. but no more. I’m not reading any more books in this genre ?? Recommended only to fans of this trope..

This book was.... lazy.

You ever finish (or continue through a book) and feel like the author just half-assed all the details? All the nitty gritty shit? And the end of the chapters... I AM SO CONFUSED. why would it end in the middle of a scene?? Multiple times?? ?️??️

I guess we can all say that 2023 is not our year of reading so far (except for tal bauer ?)

Adorable story, but needs better editing. English is not my second or even third language so some spelling or grammatical error doesn't really bother me. But this book has a bit too many errors that even I find distracting.

Can't wait for Mitch and Grant's story though!

This was a great age play story. Very typical, but somehow I didn't lose interest at all. Avery is a sweet 'perfect' Boy who just needs a Daddy to come and sweep him off his feet or more literally, into a binkie and diaper, which is just what Jace does.

I don't think there was anything I didn't like about this book. Definitely have to be in the mood for fluffy fluffison, but luckily I was.

Super enjoyed the kinks as well, but just a warning, it doesn't dance around them if you're not into Littles.

3.5 stars.

I really loved the story, but the editing in this book was absolutely non-existent. The author seemed to have forgotten that your and you're have absolutely different meanings. The placement of commas was arbitrary at times, and punctuation seemed more like a suggestion than a requirement in this book. At one point I got convinced I was reading one of the draft copies (I actually hope this was the case. Can't imagine people surviving through this).

That said, the characters in this book were absolute delights, and I really can't wait to read Mitch's story. I am emotionally attached to him. More so after the play-date.
