Asha made this whole book. Her personality shone through the entire time, regardless of the situations. Cael on the other hand I felt he was just along for the ride. He had little to no personality and acted like a doormat

A Prince and a Mechanic? Surely There Must Have Been a Mistake?

Prince Cael has been trying, fairly unsuccessfully, to get the governments to buy into the Match Program. He doesn’t know if they really don’t believe the program works, or if they are just trying to “negotiate” for more of their technology and medical information before they agree to push the program. He is disheartened and can’t believe the amount of fighting between the different governments and also the amount of opposition from certain groups on earth. He fears for the program, but also fears he will never find his own match, ending any chance that he will ever have a family and children.

Asha borrowed money from a loan shark, Crastor, in order to pay for the operation her nephew needed so he wouldn’t go blind. She has been making the monthly payments, barely, but is determined to pay him off and be out from under his control. She loves her nephew to death and the new bionic eyes he got, thanks to the aliens medical advances that they shared, are worth everything she has had to go through. She is shocked when she goes to make her monthly payment and he refuses to take it. He has come up with a better scheme! He wants her to take the Match test and get paired up with one of the aliens on the space station. Then he wants her to steal one of the translators and bring it back to him. He is going to give it to someone who will copy it and they are going to sell them and make a fortune! He threatens her sister and nephew if she doesn’t agree. So she takes the test and gets matched to Prince Cael. When she meets him and finds out he is the prince, she is sure there has been a mistake. What would he want with a nobody like her and a mechanic to boot!

Prince Cael is thrilled when he hears he has been matched to an earth female! He wants to go to her immediately, but he is supposed to have tea with the King and Queen of England so he arranges to meet afterwards in the park. There are thousands of people there to see the King and Queen have tea with the Alien Prince. Cael wanders into the park and meets up with Asha and her bodyguard. He is immediately drawn to her and they start walking through the park. Explosions start going off around them, panicking the crowd and starting riots. The anti-alien group has staged a very effective and violent protest! Asha and Cael are caught in the middle of it and get separated from their bodyguards. Cael is hopelessly lost and has no idea what to do. Fortunately Asha is very street smart and she manages to get him safely away with some help from her friend. They hide out with her friend until the morning when they decide they can get to the airport where his shuttle is waiting. She agrees to go with him for a couple of days so they can get to know each other. When they are almost at the shuttle, it blows sky high. If they had been any closer they would have been killed. Now that she knows how deadly the protester have gotten, she knows she needs to hide him until things die down. She gets to her motor home and they escape into the countryside. Will the forced “togetherness” give them enough time to get to know each other? Will Asha finally let her “walls” down enough to give him a chance. And what will she do about Craster?

This is the second book in the Intergalatic Soulmates Series and I absolutely the book and the characters. A very emotional read with a great ending!
I think I gave this book a try because the description made it sound good. It definitely was not from reading the first book in the series (Randar) which I found a bit lacking.
In the afterword, the author says she had a hard time writing this story because she wasn't sure how to write the female protagonist, Asha. Well, I think her efforts were worth it! Asha is the carrier of the entire plot. She is real and relatable, funny and sometimes badass, especially compared to Angela from book 1 (whose life is only interesting because she has several interesting best friends). Asha's nephew, Mikey, is the second best developed character in the story.
Unfortunately, the book's namesake, Prince Cael, is not well developed and the whole romantic aspect of the story seems based on his looks, Asha feeling sorry for his species' history, how he treats children (loves his neice) and his sense of honor as an embassador and in general (he doesn't judge Asha on her home or her friends). I didn't feel compelled to wish the couple stay together, apart from Asha (and her family) deserving an easier life.
It is a good thing Cael has bodyguards, and now Asha, because he is the most pathetic example of warrior in a violent situation.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Not your typical Alien need a woman to procreate like most are. The Aliens are not aggressive but romantic and calm.

Asha is forced to sign up for the match program in order to steal technology for the loan shark she owes money to. She is shocked to learn she is matched to “the” Prince sent as an ambassador to earth to implement the intergalactic Match program.

She is so not princess material. She is a car mechanic, and common.

Cael sees her as refreshing, not impressed by his royalty, and very down to earth. Every thing he wished for in a match.

What I liked about Cael’s character is he is not a strong, warrior like Alien. He has never trained to fight. He has bodyguards. He was normal.

Good book. I enjoyed it.

???A great suite !

Asha, 23, works as a mechanic in a garage.

Her boss, Mal, is an old grump who has been watching over her for years.

When she had to borrow money from a pawnbroker, the latter forced her to register with an interplanetary dating Agency to repay her debt.

But Asha has something else in mind....

--------

This is a very attractive, funny, tender sequel from the INTERGALACTIC SOULMATES series !

A fantastic series, captivating, pleasant to read, discovered completely by chance.

Two totally different characters ( Asha and Cael) in this volume 2, two personalities the opposite of each other, and yet the alchemy is there!

It's pleasant, funny, irresistible to read.

A beautiful auhor to discover!?

Good

Asha is a woman who is working hard just to get by… not everything she does is on the up and up.
Cael is the Prince and Ambassador to the aliens who set up the DNA mate match program.
When Asha is matched to Cael, she is sure the program is wrong, and when things get a little hairy, they’re thrust together. Can Cael convince her the program is right?

A quick and sweet sci-fi romance, and in true Cinderella style! This book continues the story begun in book one, although it can be read as a standalone. For maximum enjoyment though, read the series in order- it’s a fun one!
Strong handed sign up for a mate

This story is about a woman and her sister doing everything they can to help her sisters child. The sister relies on conventional means but the woman goes to a loan shark. This puts her in a precarious situation when the loan shark changes the terms of the loan. When she is matched by the intergalactic mating test she figured it's all a hoax and she will just run. Well all hell brakes loose and running from the problem is not an option. Good read.

Another Cute One

This book is about Prince Cael and his DNA perfect match Asha. It was definitely a poor girl meets rich guy type of story but Asha was a real kick butt type of female, exactly what the prince needed. I enjoy the characters and the storyline because there are tons of ways to tell an alien romance and this author has found a good one. Not too heavy, some action and love scenes that are steamy but not overdone.

4.5 stars!

I adored this book. I felt all the feels, I connected to the characters & the story itself was heartfelt and entertaining.

I just wish it was longer, purely because I read it in less than 2 hours and I already miss the characters. The story wasn't rushed, and it was perfectly timed, but i wanted more!

A lovely second instalment and I'm going straight onto the next!

I’m so used to big hulking warriors, fight ready and over qualified to kick behind. Having an H that isn’t but still manages to be super appealing, hunkie and and sweet into the bargain is such a joy to read. I admit my soft marshmallow heart wanted Asha to fall instantly and just hold him close, so getting her snarly attitude was exciting reading ( I was shouting at her to loosen up). Loved this book and can’t wait for Nell‘s story.
