Introduction:
Pull up a beach chair and dig your toes in the sand as life continues in Lobster Bay.Things are changing for Jane Miller. Just as her friend Claire gets on her feet again from a near-catastrophe with her bakery, Jane faces challenges with the beachfront bed-and-breakfast her family has owned for generations. Her mother is no longer able to run things and Jane finds herself in charge. It's a big change, especially since Jane expected to be retired by now, but she's promised her mother she will carry on the family legacy. Too bad she doesn't know very much about running an Inn.But luck is on her side when she comes across a new furry friend, Cooper, to help her navigate the challenge. It doesn't hurt that Cooper's new owner is easy on the eyes--even though Jane vowed she'd never look again.Naturally she also has Claire and Maxi to lean on. Claire is happy with her new bakery and new beau, but Maxi is facing some changes of her own. Will Maxi find the strength to finally pursue her passion...

This is the second in the Lobster Bay series. It is a standalone but I recommend reading them in order to understand the characters backstories and development.

This hit close to home for me as I am dealing with placing both parents in some type of long-term care based on their differing needs.

The story is set in the charming and quaint town of Lobster Bay, Maine. The main focus is on Jane and her struggles of having to put her Mother into an elder care facility. The Bed and Breakfast take a back seat to this story.
I found it well-written and moved at a good pace. Although it did not take me away from my family situation, it did provide a break from the Corona Virus hoopla happening throughout the US and portrayed so disturbingly on the news.

I was given an advanced copy of the book and am not required to leave a positive review.
Changing Tides is a story about dealing with change and solving problems with the help of friends and family, and in this case even the whole small town of Lobster Bay. Jane had recently placed her mother into an amazing senior care facility. Now all she had to do is get over the guilt, and figure out how to make the family Inn profitable again. She relies on the help and support of her best friends, Claire and Maxie, and her sister Andie who arrives from New York for a visit. Although this is the second book in the Lobster Bay series, it is easily a stand-alone read, but you'd miss some of the rich backstories of these amazing women. I really loved the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

This is Book Two in the Lobster Bay Series and I really enjoyed it. Jane, Claire and Maxi’s lives have a lot going on. Fortunately they have each other to turn to when things are rough. Jane’s sister, Andie, is in town, helping out at the inn, and trying to figure out when she is going back to her job at Christie’s in New York. Hopefully she will stay in Lobster Bay. The author is doing a fabulous job with this series!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

The second book in the Lobster Bay series set on the coast of Maine. It is a delightful tale about Jane who has to place her mother in a nursing facility
And still run the inn which has been in the family for years. She has roots and
Friends in this town who are willing to help restore the inn as they take on
Wedding clients. There are problems to face as well as new challenges, and
Second chances for her friends and sister. I recommend this book.
Meredith Summers has written a great follow-up to Book #1 in Te Lobster Bay series. Jane Miller is overwhelmed with trying to take care of her mother, Addie; trying to figure out a way to pay for her mother's care at Tall Pines Memory Care Facility and keeping Tides Bed and Breakfast that has been in her family for generations.
Her sister, Andie, an antiques appraiser for Christie's in New York, is frustrated with her job and her affair with her married boss. She decides to go to Lobster Bay to see her mother in the Tall Pines Memory Care Facility while she still might recognize her.
Andie feels that Jane is having problems but doesn't know how to help her. She also discovers that her high school sweetheart, Shane Flannery, is back in town as well after retiring from te Navy.
I love how Jane and her close friends, Claire Turner and Maxi Stevens, work so well together. They are finding solutions to help Jane with the B & B. Some of the ideas are an updated website and Jane recruits a new guy in town, Mike Henderson, to help her. With the updated website Jane can advertise beach weddings at the B & B.
This series has great characters that we are learning more about in this book. I encourage all who would like a "feel good" story to read this series.
I received an advance copy. This is my honest review.

This is a superbly written, heart-warming story.
Set in the charming and quaint town of Lobster Bay, Maine.
Changing Tides is the 2nd book in the Lobster Bay series. While it is considered a stand alone novel, it's better to read them in order to get the full back-stories on the characters.
This book focuses more on Jane, and her struggles of having to put her Mother into an Elder Care facility, and then trying to figure out how to run the family's B&B.
When her sister comes home for a rare visit, can the 2 sisters re-connect.
With the help of her friends, old and new, and the town residents things seem to be coming together.
For a few hours, I completely forgot about my problems and crazy things happening in the world right now. Thanks for the mini-vacation to the coast of Maine!!
I truly enjoyed reading this book!!

Once again, we visit the quaint little town of Lobster Bay, Maine in the 2nd book of the series. This time the focus is on Jane Miller and her Bed & Breakfast, Tides, which has been in her family for generations.

Since Jane had to make the tough decision to put her mom in an assisted living home, the burden of running Tides has fallen on Jane. Unfortunately Tides is losing money. Jane promised her mom, she wouldn't sell it so she has to figure out how to save Tides.

When Jane is literally knocked over by a friendly dog, things seem to change. She also gets a little help from her friends and her estranged sister shows up.

If you love books about friends, family and community you will love this story. Read to find out if Jane is able to save Tides or does she have to sell. I am really loving this series and can't wait to read book #3.

Changing Tides is Book 2 in the Lobster Bay Book Series
This is a new author that writes women's fiction that is heart warming and poignant.

It was great revisiting characters from the first book and especially more of a focus on Jane in this book. Jane has a lot to deal with . She is going through the deeply emotional process of putting her mom into an assisted living facility while still running the Bed and Breakfast. Jane's sister comes home to help. I really loved how the sisters had the chance to bond .

I love stories about sisters, and Maine! I live in Maine and the author does a fantastic job of describing the quaint town of Lobster Bay.

This is a great story and I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
