Chivalrous

Geoffrey de Graville is a man of honor. The code of chivalry to which he subscribes demands it. He possesses lands, wealth, a title and good looks, and is expected to become a warrior, and to produce the next generation of his family with a suitable wife. When he falls in love with a woman he adores, but cannot marry, her death in childbirth leaves his soul crushed and destroyed. His honor refuses to allow him to marry another or to risk seeing another woman die bearing his child. The only way in which to protect his heart from further hurt is to encase it in a layer of ice as impregnable as the walls of the castle built by his father. But, he begins to discover, even the thickest protective ice barrier can be melted.
