This Was Such A Good Story…

Man, What a good story….I love these characters and I hope and pray that they are still talking to Ms. Nina. so that she can pen more from the Porter/ Dennis clan….Although Sav is my favorite, I can’t help but still feel a way for Wreck….he feels like the odd man out....Even my boy Dem is content. But, now that I really think about it...perhaps we might just get another book about Wreck...I'm thinking because we were introduced to his granny Ms. Deborah and from the other books...his mother Demetria and Oceanana were best friends at one point....perhaps there's a story there after all....I'm hoping it will also continue with the Dennis girls too...I'm just hopeful...I didn't want this story to end. Plus I NEVER get tired of Sav's wise cracks. Let Him Use You Ms. Nina.

Beautiful Love story

Listen ? 534 pages of pure cocaine ‼️‼️
I didn’t do anything but read after I started nothing but dive into the Porters I couldn’t stop even when I wanted to. If you are not familiar with The Porters you need to catch up and join the family. Pavati was such an addition to this family ??this read was perfect. It flowed you can tell it was done with time and a lot of love. That’s what I felt the most reading this book. It’s something about reading beautiful brown people in love having love and loving each other so much . Flaws and all they are the perfect family each person is needed. This book moved like a well-oiled machine. I laughed until my stomach hurt eyes watered without even being sad just genuinely happy enjoying these family members that Nina has given us. Daly in his sister are everything that I knew Nina would make them. This love story left me with a permanent smile and a full heart. The growth of these characters was outstanding. You continue to show us that our flaws don’t define us the way we love does. This is gonna be one of my favorites and I’ll stand on that forever ?.
If I could give this book 100⭐️’s I would. Thank You NINA ?
P.s Reading Order Front St. Porter , On Us 1-3 , Clear Water ?✨ GO GET THAT

???

I am so sad that this story and the Porter boys have come to an end!!!! I could read about this family all day every day. What a pleasant surprise to get a female version of the Porter boys. I love the connection that Pavati and Daly shared, the instant family that they created and the chemistry between the two. I think it was only right to pair the two together. I’m also glad that Pavati didn’t have to go through a whole bunch of drama or some big scandal to have the love of her life. I loved catching up with Lake, Vant, Sav and Dem. My only complaint has been the same throughout the whole series…. Wreck. Apparently it’s the middle child syndrome. He just always seems to disappear in the story. We never get enough of him, his story line is always left lacking. He’s the only one to not get a HEA, hell he didn’t even get the girl. I think that after being shortchanged in the last 5 books that he should get his own. Also I would love to get stories on the Dennis girls or a series on the kids once they’re grown, hell I’ll even take a story on Muji and Meeka. We need to know if all that counseling worked and if the cycle was broken

??

It’s always going to be Lake for me but Daly was doing some things in this one, lol. Seriously, I really enjoyed this story. I liked that we got to see the other characters from previous stories but it was clear that this was Pav & Daly’s story. The buildup to them becoming more than friends was really good. I loved how they were both so family oriented and did everything for the family. When Pav met her brothers it was so sweet. I really wanted to cry at the scene with Pav and Lake playing one on one- ugh, all the feels! I feel like this book brought closure to the family- like Pav was the missing piece to the story. The writing and character development was great. We really got to see Pav, the highs and lows- she wasn’t perfect but her story was well told. She had this nurturing personality and it showed with everyone around her. I really liked the sub-characters and the way their stories were told. The highlight for me was Pav’s grandparents being accepting and involved. I would have loved if Daly’s mother had come around but I understand her story. Nina always tells a story within the story and I appreciate that about her writing. This was a great book.

Man this author has done it again!!!!!!!!!! I loved everything about this book and I would have to say that Clear Water is my favorite Porter now! I loved how Daly loved Pavati even though in the beginning he was afraid to act on his feelings due to her being his best friend sister. Lake was still the mf’ing goat. Vant was still a crybaby ??. Wreck poor Wreck that’s all I can say. But I hope he’s able to move on because from the looks of it Gia did. I’m glad Pavati was finally able to found out about her brothers because for Dem that was finally his person. He didn’t have to feel alone anymore neither did Pavati. They have each other to lean on when times get tough. And Sav what can I say? He was the comedian of the book and I would have to say the most dramatic sibling of this book. I swear I ain’t never remember him crying this much. ??? Sav and Vant was definitely in competition to see who could cry the most! Overall, if I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. This author definitely knows how to write a damn book. The storyline, the detail, everything about the book is just wow. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this author!!!!

I’m Sad This is Over..

I loved the way the brothers embraced Pav. Their growth has been amazing- especially Lake. I couldn’t get over how much he’d changed. Daly and Pav were so cute. I was expecting big time drama from the Porter men about it but I’m glad they had their blessings. The scenes where Oceana was with both Lake and Pav were really special. I’m proud of O and she is so funny. Speaking of funny- Sav. He kept me laughing. He was truly a character and I loved how he loved his nieces. Speaking of nieces- if the Porters don’t do nothing else- they gone have some KIDS ?

I felt like we were missing a lot about Wreck. I’m hoping he gets the spotlight at some point. I’d love to read about what he has going on.

Lastly, I love the way this author included mental health struggles (and triumphs). These things are important in our community and not everyone knows to deal with them.

Pav ?

Pav and Daly were so cute together. I enjoyed this story. What I did not like is when the characters spoke in a different language it was not translated. Which left me confused. Over all this was a good read

Update: Bookstagram visuals here https://www.instagram.com/p/CofJYp5OS... ??

I finally got a chance to read Hassan and decided to just go back and read the entire On Us series again starting with Front Street Porter and ending here. Even all of the blog post on tumblr lol. And let me tell you, it hit just like the first time! I just love the Porter and Dennis clan so stinking much. Nina is that girl, and it was beautiful to see the growth and fully understand what Pavati represents to all of them actually…The epitome of the motherly presence neither of them ever had. She represents what life could have been like for Dem or even Hassan if they had grown in a loving and nurturing environment. It was beautiful to see the restoration of Oceana and her babies. 10 out of 10 recommend. You do need to read all of the other books leading to this one to really get the full impact.
