Corrupted Love

I have no idea how Elizabeth Knox comes up with all her stories, but I hope she never runs out of inspiration! This book was so jam packed with twists and turns and action that I was glued to my seat and I couldn't read it fast enough. Its really hard to go into detail with out giving to much away but I will say that Aleksandr was given a horrible task by his vile father that serves as both punishment to him and a way to strike back at their enemies. This goes against everything Aleksandr stands for but if he can't find a way to carry through then this father will hand the reigns of the family over to someone equally as vile as he is. Talk about family drama!! I definitely recommend this book but I would recommend reading the first book right before this one, just so you have a better understanding of all the key players.<br /><br />I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I don't think there's a single book I don't like from Elizabeth, but this is definitely up there with some of my other favs!!! It's been a while since I've gotten to read her mafia types and mannnn doe she do good!!!! <br /><br />I LOVED the MacKenzies back in Forbidden Love and I was super curious as to where she took us. There was something super special about this being Aleksandr's story. We got to really love him in Forbidden Love, so I really adore that he was the start of the show in Corrupted Love. BUT that also meant we got the crap from his father along with him. We've gotten a taste of who Sloane and Greer were from The Steele Brothers, but we didn't know much. And holy crap am I glad that we only got what we did. The beginning of this book gave us SOOO Much!!! I loved seeing Jordan from a different perspective. <br /><br />Liz gave us the PERFECT amount of twists, turns and drama in this book! I LOVED the connection between who Aleksandr and Greer were, and what that meant. I loved the drama with each of the fathers (because how can it be organized crime and not be drama with fathers?) more than anything though!!! The beginning of this book helped us remember JUST who Valintin was and that Aleksandr was EVERYTHING we hoped that he would be!!! The amount of deception was on another level in this book and holy crap I can't even think where it might take us. <br /><br />We have been set on this really awesome path with the Mackenzies and I have no clue where we are going to go next. The end of this book put a LOT up in the air and I AM HERE FOR IT!!!

This story picks up with the second generation of Mackenzies and Volkovs...at the end of the first book, Sofia was married to Desmond Mackenzie after Valentin sent her and his sons to Ireland in Desmond's care after he had psychotic episode beating Sofia...but now Desmond has twin daughters from Sofia, Greer and Sloane who were raised by Godparents after Valentin killed Sofia...and in order to take of his fathers Bratva, Aleksandr Volkov has to woo, then kill Greer or else his half-brother Maxim would inherit the Bratva....so he arranges with Liam, Desmond's son and his lifelong friend to arrange his and his half-brother Aleksei taking sisters to a safe-house to protect them after their Godparents killed, probably by Valentin's men...but there is a lot happening in the story with Greer and Sloane disagreeing on whether to meet their absentee father or not, the girls respective careers, their cousin Leti, who is actually Sofia and Valentin's daughter Leticia, raised by Sofia's brother Alejandro and never told her true parentage, and somehow Greer and Aleksandr are becoming closer as are Sloane and Aleksei...but there is a cliffhanger ending so this can't be the end of the story with so many loose ends...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.<br /><br /><br />I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is only the start of the series &amp; I am completely hooked. This book follows Forbidden Love (Liam &amp; Caprice's story). In Deceptive Love-MacKenzie Book One, we met Aleksandr &amp; Aleksei as children; in this book they are adults. We learn what has happened in the interim-and you know Valentin Volkov is a nasty piece of work!-and how the Volkovs &amp; MacKenzies are involved together. Lots left to learn about MacKenzie twins Sloane &amp; Greer and their cousin Leti. I love this author's books as they cross worlds, are quick moving, and have sharp plot arcs that span the series. This one left me dangling, and I’ll hold on until the next book is out.<br /><br />I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

This is Greer and Alexsandr's story and I LOVE Alexsandr so much!! Greer and Sloan have been sheltered from the mafia life and have never met their father. Liam is their brother and all he wants is his sisters to be safe. Alexsandr is supposed to be Greers demise and his father is watching him.like a hawk. Marry Greeer. Fall in love with her and then kill her in two years. Alexsandr has no plans on doing that. He will fall in love with her but will not harm her. His father is sadistic and has no problem hurting others. Greer and her twin Sloane Mackenzie have never met their parents and growing up they just had each other but when their paths cross with the Aleks will their family connection become their undoing. This was one wild ride! Aleks has been tasked by his father to kill Greer in order to take over in the family. He wants Aleks to get close to her and make her fall in love with him. All Greer wants is to meet her father and brother. They are the only family she has left besides her twin sister Sloane. There was a lot of action and intrigue in the book. And that ending? Crazy shenanigans are afoot. Can't wait for the next book in the series!<br /><br />Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done

Elizabeth Knox did a great job on this story. Corrupted Love was a dark story that was packed with many emotions, the story was written well. <br />Greer and Aleksandr were strong characters that's been through a lot. Nothing about their journey was easy, it was a rollercoaster, there was many ups and downs but they were made for each other. The connection between them was strong, they were drawn to each other, their chemistry was off the charts, it was steamy, they were good together. <br />This was a good story, I'm looking forward to reading more. <br />Thank you, Elizabeth Knox. Ms. Knox has an amazing way with a storyline. In Corrupted love we have suspense, intrigue and lots of surprising twists. There are even a few Oh My Gosh moments. All things this reader loves. <br />Aleks is in line to take over the bratva from his father. He vows to himself he will be a better man and leader than his father, as Aleks has never approved of his father’s way. His father puts him to one last test. A test that Aleks knows he must accomplish if he wants to take over but it goes against everything he believes in. <br /><br />This is a very intense, exciting mafia read that I Highly recommend grabbing up, as this is the start of what I feel is going to be a great series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars<br />

OMFGosh!!! What a read this is. We get to see more of the Mackenzie twins, Greer and Sloan. I have been waiting for this story for what seems like forever and I was not disappointed. You will be taken on a ride filled with suspense, secrets, anger, truths revealed, heartache, lust and love. Aleksandr has been given an assignment by his father, one he doesn’t plan on following through. He wasn’t planning on falling for Greer so hard and fast. He will do everything and anything to make sure she and her sister are safe. Aleks and Greer are a perfect match for each other. The twists the Elizabeth gave, left me gasping. She has quite the way of shocking the pants off you, but I do love it. I cannot wait for the next Mackenzie read.
