<b>TW//CW murder, violence</b><br /><br />A 3.5 stars read.<br /><br />As you know by now, I read almost everything Dale Mayer wrote, so I'm super excited with this new series and it's a paranormal suspense series, oh yesss I'm ecstatic.<br /><br />This about Terk's team, if you follow many Dale Mayer series, Terk is a familiar name, his name and psychic abilities always mentioned here and there. This new series is about Terk's team and his team is in deep trouble. With the bulk of his team down, Terk tries to establish a new base, while struggling to heal the team through the special connection each has. The first book of a series always like a long prologue for me with the introductions, the scope of the story, the reason why and the goal of the series, so there are so many repetitions and some parts kinda confusing, but once I get to passed it, I really enjoyed it, especially the action, the energy works and all the psychic stuff.<br /><br />As for characters, Dale Mayer always wrote loveable characters and this one is not an exception. I already love Terk from the other series and even though this book is about Damon and Tasha, I think Terk still took the center stage. Still love Damon and Tasha though, love their banter it's cute and sweet.<br /><br />Good fast-paced paranormal suspense story with loveable characters, yup I like it.

Fantastic!<br /><br />Right away there is danger, suspense and attempted murder! I love how this series gets started!<br /><br />Terk has a special team. Special in the way that they all have extra abilities, each one unique. They have all been targeted and most are out of commission. Terk has found Damon who is injured, but has half of his abilities still intact. Damon looked up on one of the admins of the group, Tasha, and found her hiding in an apartment near her own. She was attacked and nearly murdered in her sleep.<br /><br />Together, the threesome are wondering who is behind this severe attack on Terk’s team. They need to find out details and do it quickly before anyone else is hurt. I enjoy the intricate workings of Terk’s mind. He can do things that are spooky cool and he knows things that a normal person would never consider. Damon knows things and can “feel” things as well, advantages to have when someone is trying to kill you.<br /><br />This new series is dealing with secret governments, teams with unique abilities and murder. I love it! Just when you think you have it figured out, someone else gets hit and the clues disappear and you have to start all over again. Then there is the connection between Damon and Tasha. Theirs is a tension that needs to be resolved. Sexual chemistry is becoming more noticeable and a distraction. This story is a fantastic lead in. I am excited to see what else this author has in store for us with these mind games and mayhem!<br />

I have been waiting for Terk’s story for what seems like ages. He has special abilities and along with seven other good men he helped defend the world of bad people. Although when his team was disbanded, someone tried to kill them all. With only half strength and abilities it’s time to protect his men that are injured and help the rest that can’t help themselves. I really enjoyed this story. I couldn’t wait to start it. This one is Damon’s story with the hacker who helped them, Tasha. This book was full of intrigues, suspense and everything you would expect from a Dale Mayer book. I can’t wait to read the rest as each book comes out and especially Terk’s Story.

A great start to a new series. Little bit of everything in the first story. Psychic warfare and a great love story woven into one.

Wow another team with special talents are targeted to be taken out. First Bullards's team and this team with special talents. Plenty of action, suspense and betrayals. Hang on for the ride. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The opening chapter of this book is hair-raising as we learn Terkel's team has been, I'm going to say attacked, after being disbanded. Most of their abilities are gone or compromised with the exception of Terkel. He has another problem as well and that is approaching Ice and Levi's compound where his twin brother Merk resides and works.<br /><br />Damon is the only team member with Terkel at this time, he feels something but has some of his ability. Now they are trying to locate the rest of their team.<br /><br />Terk appears not to have been affected because he was doing what he calls maintenance. Now the task is to locate everyone. Tasha is the first of the team Damon goes to find. She's one of their Admin IT specialists. What he finds at her apartment scares him, but as he's updating Terk she pokes her head out of the apartment across the way.<br /><br />Talking to Tasha and realizing it wasn't just the Team that has been affected, they call the other admins. The first, Mera is with a friend but was wounded, she wants nothing to do with anyone. Their other admin, a newcomer to the team Wilson was yet another story.<br /><br />Terk, Damon and Tasha work on getting set up in a warehouse, one that's not as secure as they'd like but would have to do.<br /><br />What happened at Legendary Security with Cecilia is revealed. Ice and Levi have things under control there and they will assist with getting communications set up.<br /><br />There is so much that happens in this book, as Damon reveals his attraction to Tasha. That's something he has been hiding for years as has she. I truly loved the reaction to Merk when he shows up to help. <br /><br />I couldn't stop reading this book, every page brings new challenges and opposition as they work to locate the rest of the team. <br /><br />I can't wait for the next book in this series.

<strong>Damon &amp; Tasha get it right In This Paranormal Suspense.</strong><br /><br />Coworkers Damon &amp; Tasha have been circling around each other for a while but finally confront their attraction for each other in Damon's Deal. <br /><br />This was an ok read, but I felt like I was missing something. A team of US Government psychic special ops gets suddenly disbanded &amp; apparently disavowed. The book opens with team leader Terk dealing with the aftermath of a attack on his team on their last day. Most of his team have been attacked remotely, stealing their abilities. Several are in comas. They're three office crew members, the computer team, were attacked. (I'd have liked to know more about that whole attack, but it took place before the story opened .) Terk, Damon, &amp; Tasha are trying to figure out who is behind it.<br /><br />Damon is one of the crew who evaded complete wipe out. He's down to about 50% of his normal abilities -- whatever those are. They're not really explained. Tasha is the computer tech genius, the only one of three to make it through the purge night alive. Damon &amp; Tasha have been attracted to each other but forced to keep things professional, I assume due to a non-fraternization clause that now doesn't matter, now that they're all no longer part of a sanctioned op.<br /><br />I was intrigued enough by Terk's subplot that I'll probably continue reading the series, but Mayer's style of telling the bulk of the story through dialogue makes things hard to follow. I know it says that this is book one. It read like I missed some of the story in maybe a prequel? Perhaps there's more info to come in future entries.<br /><br />Bottom line opinion. There is tons of action, for sure, but a key scene takes place off book &amp; it's light on the romance.

She has created a fantastic new series that will mesmerize her readers.<br /><br />The main characters are still “drop-ops SEALs.” However, they have special psychic skills and senses that give them strong adversaries as they attempt to crush the “bad guys.” This team has worked for the U.S. government for ten years.<br /><br />Dale Mayer hooks readers on the first page. The book opens when Terk sends a woman to seek help from Ice and Levi. Since Terk’s twin, Merk, works for them, he knows they will be able to secretly help her.<br /><br />Unfortunately, members of Terkel’s team find themselves in a serious situation. First of all, the U.S. government has shut them down. Also, worse than that, somehow, every team member has discovered that most, if not all, of their super-senses, have disappeared. Plus, several of the men are in long-term comas. As if that is not enough, someone has attempted to kill all three of their computer specialists and hackers. Tasha is the only computer specialist who survived that nighttime attack.<br /><br />Now, the only team members are able to fight for their lives are Terk, Damon and Tasha. Their main goal is to discover who is attacking them before they are all murdered. Unfortunately, this is difficult with three people who no longer have all of their special abilities. Therefore, Terk asks Levi if he will loan Merk’s service to help his team stay alive as they search for the culprits.<br /><br />This story is action-packed and exciting as readers follow Terkel and his team as they fight hard to stay alive and to permanently eliminate their enemies.<br /><br />

This is the first book in a new series Terkel’s Team by Dale Mayer. A lot of the book was spent giving background on the team and the problem they are facing. Each of the members of Terk’s team has special abilities. They can communicate telepathically, they can set up barriers to provide protection, and they can use their ability to kill the bad guys. In the past they have met teams with the special abilities, but they never met a team as good as they were. Now they are under attack by such a team, and they need to stop it. Terk the team leader is trying to protect all their team members that were hit by the attack. As the book starts, the only other team member that can work with Terk is Damon who is not at 100%. The support team, who run computer searches and tracking, were also under attack. Two of the three of the team were killed, only Tasha is still alive. Damon has always kept away from Tasha because everyone he was close to died. Now he will do everything he can to protect Tasha, including telling how he feels. Of course, this book wouldn’t be good if there wasn’t a romance between Damon and Tasha. Terk needs more help so he calls his twin Merk, the only person he can trust. Merk who works for Legendary Security can pull in his team members from Legendary Security as needed. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to learn more about the team’s special abilities and find the source of the attack.<br /><br />I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
