Introduction:
A Dark Mafia RomanceMom always told me that getting into a car with a stranger was dangerous. She was right.I came to Spain hoping to start a new life away from dangerous men, but then I met Rafael Santiago. Now I'm not just caught up in the affairs of a mafia boss, I'm being forced into his car. When I saw something I shouldn't have, Rafael took me captive, stripped me bare, and punished me until he felt certain I'd told him everything I knew about his organization... which was nothing at all. Then he offered me his protection in return for the right to use me as he pleases. Now that I belong to him, his plans for me are more shameful than I could have ever imagined.

What is the 365 days of fifty shades did I just witness!!!Lord best have glitched my kindle and left out all the actual content of characterization.

Spoiler they love each other in the end...okay but like did they not read Romeo and Juliet?
So Savannah gets saved Rafael, but they don’t actually communicate.
Two week later at a cafe/music night thing they meet again and hook up.
Then she goes back to her place the next day.
A FEW days later she needs to make a deposit at a bank and on her way home, Rafael shoots up the people she was walking past on the street.
He takes her hostage cause he is like “um we crosses paths multiple times in such a short time frame, you must be liar”
Now you may wonder what he does with said “liar”.
Don’t worry I’ll tell ya.
Locks her up for a few minutes in a dark dungeon of his gothic historical house.
But then he goes down there and fucks her. And the. Realizes the cops are after him.
He then takes her to a safe house with him. So they’ve only been in this gothic house for maybe an hour at most. Then a car drive which probably wasn’t more than an hour.
So then at the safe house he works for a few hours and then tells her he loves her and she proclaims her love to him.

The entire book consists of him spanking her, then fucking her, accusing her, commanding her, and telling her that he has 2 personalities (the loving “fuck her in the ass” guy, and the mafia guy).

Soooooo... I’m hoping that the book glitched and there was actual character development.
Dark, a bit bloody with plenty of steam. Savannah (FMC) ends up in Spain to run her aunts art gallery but a chance meeting with Rafael and her life gets a little darker as well as more dangerous. With Savannah being stuck in the middle of a gang war. Savannah & Rafael spark/click pretty together pretty quickly but i kind of liked that they did. Even though they came from two very different worlds. If you take out the violence at the heart of this book is a steamy dom romance. Thats what i enjoyed reading the most if im honest but i dont mind my books a little darker too. A good read though

No depth

This was a story of sex and little action. Didn't really get into these characters. Nothing about them made me care if they were happy or sad . Most of this book was. Inner thoughts ..long inner thoughts, something I absolutely hate in a book. I skipped most of this book and was happy it was over.

"Dangerous Stranger" was a huge mess for me.... It took me a while to actually figure out what was going on and after that it was meh... I really liked the synopsis, it was promising but the execution not so much... Choices, choices, choices... I should have chosen a different book to read... Ooo well!

A Thrilling Ride! Outstanding Narration?

Dangerous Stranger
A Dark Mafia Romance
By: Piper Stone
Narrated by: Thomas Locklear

Wow, this book grabs your attention right from the start and captivates it the entire time. Piper Stone is a gift author, I enjoy her writing style and her ability to create dark and twisted stories that takes you out of your comfort zone and has you mesmerized by it. This book is a mafia romantic suspense, the characters are complex and well developed, as are the dynamics of the mafia world and family. The story is set in Galicia, Spain, the lead female Savannah Tyler is an American who needed to get away from her life from a while and agreed to run her Aunt’s Art Shop in Spain in her absence. Her arrival to Galicia does not go without incident, she was accosted but someone came to her rescue. She later finds out who that someone was and who the assailant was that approached her. Rafael Santiago is the son of the head of Galicia mafia, he is next in line to take over the family business. He has been trying to find out who is out for him and his family, sabotaging his family business in with appears to be a power play from a rival. But nobody messes with him or his family without repercussions and not all is what it appears to be. Savannah had captured his attention from the start but he knows he can not afford the distraction. He makes that decision after he enjoyed some time with her. But that is not the last he sees of her, circumstances bring them together again but not in a good way. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, angst, twist and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Piper Stone, thank you for another great story and thrilling ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, Thomas Locklear is a versatile voice artist and his talent as a narrator truly shines in this book. He covers the roles for all the characters, giving each their own distinct voice and personalty. His vocal range is amazing, the voice he gave the lead female, Savannah, sounded like it was performed by a female, I had to double check to see if this was a duet narration and if he was working along side with a female narrator. In addition to that superb performance he played the perfect Rafael, a wonderfully accented deep voiced alpha boss, he was awesome with all the secondary characters too. He is an entertaining storyteller who projects the right tone, inflection and emotion in to his performance. Thank you for another awesome listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your work.

WOW WOW WOW THIS IS ONE HOT HOT HOT READ!!!
Savannah and Rafael are amazing together. The chemistry and the connection is off the charts.
Rafael has saved Savannah more than once and he knows there is just something about this woman that he needs.
Rafael is the son of a mafia Don and because his older brother was killed, murdered he is now the son that is in the chair and he is after blood. He wants revenge. He has a plan but when he sees her again he knows that nothing is going to stop him from having her. She is feisty and she is not scared of giving as good as she gets. And their banter is electric but nothing is going to stop him from following her outside and showing her who is boss. When they kiss all cards are off the table. She is the only one who gets to see the venerable side of him, the soft side and that can never get out. But when they are together he sees a different future. But its just a dream. He needs to dominate her, he needs her to want him and no one else but he knows its dangerous.
But when he needs to save her once again she sees the real man behind his mask. But how will she react? will she be disguised or will she be there for him?
This is one hot read, their chemistry is electric. The passion they have for one another brings out the best in each other. But its the connection that just made my knees go weak. There is so much going on in their life's but together they are stronger. This book is brilliant I couldnt out it down. I just wanted more and more. but then again nothing surprises me when I'm reading a Piper Stone book. They always have me on the edge of my seat and my heart in my mouth. Another fantastic read!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mixed feelings on this one. Really have mixed feelings on this one. I haven’t read a great deal from this author but I don think anyway mafia genre is her usual books. The story is about Rafael and Savannah, she was promised to a man she did not want nor did he want her so she was running and by doing so, had nearly been killed. Rafael had not known who the female was but seeing her running in the night being chased he had known that he had to step in and to do something to save her and the only choice had been to take out the murderer and there was simply nothing more that he could do to keep the girl safe. Rafael’s heart took a hit by the woman he had saved and when he had saw her next at the musical event, she had been attracted to his dark demeaner and he would enjoy every inch of her, allowing his darker sider free reign. Savannah been everything he had desired in a woman and he had enjoyed her for that night, now that his family had come under attack again he was convinced that she had been a plant and he was determined to discover the truth and little did she know, he had sadistic tendencies and once he let his freak fly, there was no forgetting about it. Savannah is in Spain to help her aunt run an art gallery while she's on holiday but she doesn’t even make it to her destination before she’s in grave danger. Raphael is the underboss of his family’s crime family—and a sadist (nothing I despise more). I do not enjoy reading about anyone who get’s off demeaning and/or savagely hurting another being just because he can. I couldn’t connect. Some things were left unanswered, and that also diminished my enjoyment.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Savannah has fled the United States and the unacceptable future she's been given. She can't go through with the life that is expected of her, so she takes he aunt up on her offer to run her Art Gallery while she's on vacation. Savannah has left the deepest anguish of her life behind, or so she thinks. Rafael Santiago is a beautiful, tender musician, the son of a mafia don and a brave man who rescues Savannah from a brutal attack. Savannah happened into the bistro where he was playing his flamencan guitar one evening and, while he strummed quietly, they began a conversation. Everything he said, she countered in a sassy voice with assertive comments and he wanted to get to know her better. There were sparks and sizzle, with a passion that grew quickly. Rafael lets her know who is in charge of her emotions and, at first, it troubles her. When he shows her what he's talking about, there's nothing in her mind but enjoyment. His family's business has been attacked and the word is out that they're coming for him. Taking her to a safehouse seems to be the right thing to do, but it opens up a part of his life he didn't want to revisit. The plot is well-defined and believable as the intra-family treachery ramps up and, at the same time, Savannah learns to take more responsibility for her safety and learn more about the man she's beginning to love. This story is non-stop action and the characters are beautifully drawn.
The narration is superbly done by James Loftin with distinct voices that spoke with emotion and personality. His Rafael had a smooth, deep Spanish accent that made him come alive, making it an entirely enjoyable experience.

Danger, sex, passion, betrayal, spankings and so much more! Rafael is a brutal man with an artist’s soul. He’s possessive and protective and wants to do right by his family. Savannah is sweet and a bit shattered from her tragic past. The chemistry between them ignites the pages and the love they find together begins to heal their broken hearts. I really enjoyed Rafael and Savannah’s story. I wanted to read more about their future and was disappointed in not getting an epilogue, but other than that it was wonderful. I highly recommend!
Disclosures: I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

★ “The Santiago way” ★

—>>> Rafael has had tragedy shape the role he has no choice but to take as the head of the Santiago organization. His father was counting on him to step up as a leader. Until saving a gorgeous woman one night and then meeting said woman again when he was indulging in his other persona as a musician has him yearning for more from life. But women continuing to disappear off the streets and unforeseen threats and attacks on his business and family has him scrambling to get ahead and find the party responsible, so he has to put what he wants aside.

“Let her go. Forget about her. Do. Your. Job.”

Meeting her hero again in a bar, the beautiful Spanish man who had saved her on the dark streets about a week ago, turns out to be a delicious dream come true. There is definitely much more mystery to the man than she realized, but Savannah has her own secrets and demons back home and doing her aunt a big favor worked out perfectly for her situation. And that casts suspicion on her presence in town in the first place.

An engrossing story of a man torn between his loyalty for his family, doing the right thing, and the heart that he has already lost to Savannah, because she nurtures his real self, not just the man his family expects him to be.
