Dark Prince’s Enigma
Dark Prince’s Dilemma
Dark Prince’s Agenda

This three book story is a game changer for this series when IT brings not just a doomer into the fold of the clan but one of Navuh’a sons and in true I.T. Lucas style fans will be forced to binge read them to find out how it all works out in the end. Readers will reconnect with old series friends and be privy to a very secret special ops assignment. They will also get up close and personal with Carol, the series bad girl turned bad-assed secret weapon and Lokan the Prince who fans love to hate. Readers will get non-stop action interspersed with Lokan and Carol’s love story and a rare look at Navah’s harem. Long time fans of the series may be able to skip around but new readers need to start with book one to get the whole story. And what a story it is.

The narration by Charles Lawrence remains the main reason I spend the extra cash to get this on audible. His deep, distinct clear baritone is the absolute perfect choice for narrating these novels.

Carol has survived for centuries using her female wiles until she was abducted and tortured by an immortal sadist and after being rescued by the clan she’s determined to do her part for the clan by infiltrating the doomer’s island as a spy to finally bring them down. When the clan captures one of Navuh’s sons she’s prepared to use whatever it takes to get him to spill some doomer beans. What she didn’t expect was to find out that he was her true love mate, which just confirms that the fates have it in for her.

Lokan has had a lot to contemplate since his capture by the clan. He’s fallen for a beautiful immortal temptress who claims they’re fated mates, he knows he’s addicted to her but he doesn’t believe in the fates or fated mates. But when he meets the clan mother, the Goddess Annani who tells him she believes he’s the son of her sister Areana that he truly believes and knows he has no choice but to help Carol gain access to his father’s harem to rescue his mother.

Wow!! I was so looking forward to this book and it met all my greedy expectations!!?

I loved the Dark Prince's story and have always been curious about those Doomers ever since Dahlu and Amanda's story. Lokan is the epitome of a bad boy ? Tall, Dark and devilishly handsome.....sex appeal for days and nights which include dream sharing anywhere you want....talk about fantasy overload?....ya he's got all that going on yet we catch his vulnerability in his worry over his true mate's(the seductive spunky Carol) dangerous mission and finding out what his father is hiding in his harem.....could his own mother be a goddess....could everything he's known be wrong or altered to meet his father's needs?

I also wanted Carol to get her hea.....she has really grown from when we first meet her....she's gone from sexy courtesan, to a ditzy party girl, to an inspiring chef, to a victim of a sadist doomer that suffered more than is humanly possible ....literally....immortals heal....and when she did the torture would start all over again. Through all this she never lost her positivity....even through her fear and nightmares....she became dedicated and stronger and determined to help others like herself and her clan and helped plot a plan to make things right.

She and her Dark Prince couldn't have been anymore perfect for each other and even then they still fought to be together.....yup this one is one of my favs in the series for all these reasons and many more!

Sound good? It so was!!! I am hooked on this series and if you haven't had a chance to read this one yet.....get ready for a journey!

I can't wait to see who we meet next?

The saga continues…

Carol’s mission was extremely stressful to me, and it wasn’t even the mission itself. I had to skim a lot of the inner monologue paragraphs because the were long winded and repetitive in nature and sometimes even illogical considering what was happening at the time and what she already knew. It was basically a filler to drawn out the story but placed at the most in appropriate place, unnecessarily drawing out the suspense. Basically, it wasn’t well placed fillers.

In the end, we got good news about Areana and Tula, found out the truth of Lokan’s parentage, found out how many sons Navuh really has and their names. I’m happy to realize my guess was correct (which was done in my notes and highlights).

I can’t wait to see what happens with Dimitri Gorchenco. I also wonder about the gut feeling Arwel had at the end andI don’t think it had anything to do with Carol’s phone call. I hope he’s next to be mated and whomever it is can help dampened his empathic powers so he can live a better life without being constantly overloaded with people’s emotions.

Also, I keep pondering Esag and Khiann’s status. I still don’t understand how Khiann died from being buried. I was hoping the seer thought him being in the ether meant stasis and being reborn meant revived, after all Wonder was buried for five thousand years… although i don’t understand how she was knocked out nor how she awoke in a cave near plumbing. Maybe that’s the difference she she had an air pocket and Khiann did not? And Esag was traveling away from their capital so it’s possible he was not in the nuclear winds path. Then there was the way the people were looking at Wonder in Egypt and the tingling neck thing…?

As usual, looking forward to the next installment! See my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy reading!

This one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Carol is such a brave soul to go on this suicide mission. She put herself in such grave danger and entered the Harem all alone. She took a lot of chances and handled the entire situation with poise and intelligence.
Lokan finally believes in True Love Mates! He and Carol are perfect for each other. Carol has the best of intentions and has such a loving and fun spirit that she brings light into Lokan's life.
I knew Areana wasn't miserable or suffering. I wonder how everything will pan out for Areana now that she knows the truth about Annani.
Overall, this one had me gripped with anticipation of what could happen. The romance and love between Carol and Lokan brings hope for the future of both the clan and the Doomers.
Okidu, oh man! I hope he is all right. I have a feeling that something went horribly wrong and this will take us on a whole new journey with the ODUS'. Scary to imagine what can happen if Kian and Annani no longer have control over Okidu and the other ODUS.
I am so intrigued to find out exactly what are the ODUS. Could they be aliens?

A couple of great details and announcements are revealed:
Who is Lokan's Mother? Who are Lokan's true brothers? What is Gorchenco up to? Is Wonder's sister still alive?
Looking forward to the next in the series.

The Dark Prince’s Agenda KU 2 97 pgs **** 7/23/21 Lokan & Carol

4 stars. This book was so exciting with Carol’s mission and the new characters that were introduced. So much was explained in this book, everything finally made sense with Annani and her immediate family. Turner is just perfect for everything that goes on in this world, so glad he is part of the clan now. I don’t know how they survived without him for so many thousands of years! Lokan and Carol are perfect for each other and there is so much more to their story but this is the 3rd book for them so not sure how that is going to go. Their story is one of my favorites so far. I sure hope Kian gives him more options than keeping him in a cell forever, he deserves to have a life since I think he has proved himself trustworthy although he is still very much loyal to his people

Love it!

I try to review books as soon as I finish reading them. However, I get so engrossed and excited with the stories and the characters that I want to keep reading. Therefore, this is a review of books 29-31 of The Children of. The Gods.

I continue to enjoy everything about this series! I love Carol and Lokan! Carol is a free spirit and admitted rebel of the clan. She enjoys life and is not afraid to explore the naughty side. A courtesan in the past, she enjoys her own game of catch and release, with men.

A good conclusion to Lokan and Carols story. I did predict the plot twist with the Areana plan but it was still done very well. The constant indecision was still very annoying but did not grate on me like previous books.

I felt that Carols mission went a little too easily given all that we know about the island and I was expecting at least a few dangerous things to happen.

I'm glad that things ended the way they have and look forward to the next set of books.

This is a paranormal romance and is thirty-first in the Children of the God series and the finale of the Dark Prince trilogy. Carol makes her way to the Island and then in to the Harem. Things are not what they appear to be, the only saving grace for Carol is dream walking with her lover. The ending leaves a wonder of possible story arcs, a truly great series.

Most exciting to wrap up this storyline

What an exciting story to wrap up this storyline. Carol is fierce and wonderful and outgoing. She did what was deemed impossible for her mate. I was so impressed with the writing because there is the hint of feasibility in this story even though fictional. This author is truly talented for weaving an intriguing story. Read On!

Adventurous, Mysterious and Romantic

This book held my attention. It was mysterious; we did not know how the climax would be resolved. The true love match between Lokan and Carol added a !it to the plot. Loved this book.
