Darkness Series #1-3

This is my review of the Darkness Series.<br /><br />Darkness Lurks<br /><br />Can't believe this is the first book I've read by this author. What the heck was I thinking lol this was a fab read. I inhaled it in a day. <br /><br />Emily's life is on track. She's at university &amp; has some great friends. She's in love with an officer called Seth. He's afraid to get too close. Emily learns quick enough that danger is following her? Who is after her? Are they working alone? What do they want?<br />Once I started this book I really couldn't put it down. I kept saying one more chapter. I did stop to make dinner. However it wasn't long before I was back reading it.<br /><br />Absolutely brilliant read. The book does end in a cliffhanger. However I'm not gonna scream and shout this time as I've got the next book on my kindle waiting for me to start.<br /><br />Darkness Follows<br /><br />Oh wow. What a story. Make sure you read book one before reading this book as its a continuation of Emily and Seths story.<br /><br />Book one Darkness Lurks was brilliant. The ending had me in knots. Thankfully I was able to jump right into this and keep reading. The storyline continued at a fast pace. The twists and turns had me gripped. I find it hard to review without spoiling it as you may not have read book one yet. All I want to say is get reading as its brilliant. <br /><br />Be warned when you start this series that book three is out in October. After the big cliffhanger (grab alcohol kinda cliffhanger) in this book you will need to know that. <br /><br />Also know it's a one sitting kinda read. Make sure you got the time to read it as you won't want to put it down.<br /><br />Don't be a plonker like me and put cookies in while reading this and forget about them. Yep that's exactly what I did. This might be a clue to how brilliant these books are. Really looking forward to Darkness Falls. I need it now! <br /><br />I'm doing a happy dance now as I see the author has more books to sink my teeth in.<br /><br />Darkness Falls<br /><br />Oh wow. I'm totally speechless. I've got to say my expectations were high for this book. I absolutely loved the first two books. I even went as far as burning my kids cookies as I forgot about them while reading book two.<br /><br />Ok I'm going to confess that as much as I wanted to read this book I didn't jump into it as soon as I got it. Why? I was afraid. Yep I was afraid that the author wouldn't meet my expectations. I was also afraid that it would be so good it would mess with my head.<br /><br />The release date is getting close so I pulled on my big girl pants and read it. I got sucked right in. Right back into Emily and Seths roller coaster story.<br />This book exceeded my expectations big style. Did it mess with my head? Hell yes. I actually messaged the author saying I was afraid to read anymore. Yes it's that kinda read. The twists and turns kept coming at me until my head was a mess.<br /><br />I'm not gonna say anything about the storyline. My lips are sealed. All your getting off me is how I felt reading this series and to be honest I haven't even got the words in my vocabulary to do these books justice. <br />This is an epic series. A must read if you like dark, romance and suspense. These will certainly be staying on my kindle for are read.<br /><br />I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.

<strong>Brilliant with lots of twists</strong><br /><br />This book deserves this rating because it was well written not at all what I expected this is the first time I have read anything from this author this book has so I did not know what to expect ,this book has lots of twists and turns keeps you guessing .<br />You think you know what is going to happen it changes very subtly and goes in a different direction and comes back with another twist or another character ,there are many characters but the story is easy to follow.<br />The main characters Seth and Emily play their parts really well .<br />I would recommend this book to anybody who has a passion for romantic thrillers.<br />Tracey

<strong>Darkness indeed.</strong><br /><br />Emily and Seth don't have it easy by any stretch of the imagination. This entire series is packed full of twists and turns. It's definitely a dark read, and I guessed wrong several times about what the outcome would be. I have to say I'm insanely happy I got the box set, if I had to wait to see what was going to happen with the cliffhangers I'd of gone crazy. I highly recommend this series!

<strong>Amazing</strong><br /><br />It's like everything J.L. Drake writes is amazing!! Nothing compares to any of these series! All the series even the broken series and Blackstone books are amazing. Drake knows how to write pure gold. As I've read through both series I've constantly been on edge can't wait to see what comes next!!!!

<strong>Wow</strong><br /><br />These books were amazing the twist and turns and the shock were so good. It makes it very hard to put it down once you start reading it. It is a great love story mystery for anyone!!
