More Action in Part 6

One of my complaints about book 5 was that there was less action for the first half of the book. Hate to say it but the twins slow BA down. Being put in the pod doc allowed her to be more bada$$ in part six. Hope the mini series for the twins is action packed.

No other spoilers from me. Ready for Endgame 7.

BA is back...

...and she’s NOT happy! Bethany Anne is fed up with the Seven and is taking action to eradicate them. This story is full of emotion, and is as captivating as the previous books; if not more so.

There’s a huge cast of characters spawning from when Michael first took Bethany Anne to TOM to be enhanced. It is awesome how the main characters are kept in the story without overwhelming it with inanities: a true talent.

Another excellent instalment, and we see Bethany Anne come closer to wiping the Seven out of existence.

Enter into Valhalla

As usual, Michael brings us an awesome tale of a legendary badass BA who gathers her close friends and family, who haven't been together for a very long time, and announces a shift in strategy. No more nice Empress. It's time to take the fight to her enemies. There ensues catching up with loved ones, much action, several hard fights, and sad tears. You don't want to miss this one.

Wow!

As usual, with any book involving Bethany Anne, this was a fast paced, lose your breath at the speed of light, crazy roller coaster of a ride.

It was wonderful to get fully immersed in this story, especially as BA and Michael had called all of their surviving friends and family together, which meant that I got to visit with some of my favourite characters again.

But, what set this book apart from the previous book in this series, was the way in which the plotline was bringing the reader ever closer to those who have been behind the Kurtherian attacks.

Seeing BA in all her Empress glory was wonderful, especially when she did her trick with the ether storm, but my favourite moments were when she was simply being a Mother, and a Wife.

Having been both, I could totally relate to her concerns for the twins, and just how fast they were being forced to grow up, and then trying to find some one on one time with the love of her life - but, also, having the need to be everything to everyone - my heart ached for her.

But, Addix! I cried.

For someone who used to be terrified if spiders, I found her character to be amazingly loyal, loving, protective, and kick ass amazing, and I'm really going to miss her.

One thing I did when I finished reading, was look up the name of the Kurtherian behind the attacks. It was mentioned that it was a human name, so I decided to see what came up - and this is what I found:

Gödel, Kurt:
By the age of 25, Kurt Gödel had produced his famous “Incompleteness Theorems.” His fundamental results showed that in any consistent axiomatic mathematical system there are propositions that cannot be proved or disproved within the system and that the consistency of the axioms themselves cannot be proved.

This all looks wonderful, and very science-y, but I must admit, I haven't got a clue how it fits in with the plot so far - or if I have even found the right Gödel! Lol

Anyway, as I always do, I checked to see what book I should be reading next, and it turns out it's book 6.5 in this series: Keep Your Friends Close.

I guess this is a shorter add-on, so I don't know how long it'll take to read, but I guess, as its now almost quarter past one in the morning already, I guess I'll be leaving it to read in the morning - and that will give me a little time to process this book's details a little longer!

Finally got me.

After reading the entire Kutherian Gambit & the first 5 books of the K Endgame, reading the author's notes as well as watching the style enlarge with the addition of additional author's ghosting input along with El Leigh's named books I have finally succumbed to the plea for reviews "if we liked it.". He'll yeah! More than space opera or Kornbluth monsters the pulp writers of the ' 40's and '50's (who I spent most of my class time in high school reading) would be proud to see what their oevre is becoming. Congratulations to all involved and a recommendation to anyone who enjoys thoughtful memes as well as kick-ass heroes along with slimy antagonists. READ THESE BOOKS. ENJOY THEM. RECOMMEND THEM.

A keep you up all night book

Well, I think I need to change my reading habits... starting a book just before bedtime is not a good idea, especially Kutherian Gambit books. They are very hard to put down until finished and this book is no exception.
Fast paced, loads of heart pulsating action and brilliant growth in characters makes this a brilliant book to read.

Upping the game

This KU library selection is another step closer to finding the seven, but just as Bethany Anne has changed, so have the Kurtherians. And now they are coming for BA. This has been a great series and I'm looking forward to filling in gaps by reading the side stories at some point. But for now, book seven is up next.

Holy Cow

Michael Anderle should give all of us warnings for the cliffhangers he leaves at the end of his books. The book itself is full of action, heroics, major scares and a bit of sadness. All of this is leading up to an amazing story to come I am sure. Keep reading my friends and don't forget the authors notes. Enjoy!
