I think this story didn't really work for me. There were a few times that I didn't understand the H's/h's line of reasoning. The plot was also a bit off on the spark/chemistry between the MCs though the lust was definitely there; there's no "hook" between the MCs. <input type="checkbox" class="spoiler__control" aria-label="The following text has been marked spoiler. Yet, so far it was only shown how physically attracted she was to the H and how they connect through similarities of favorites things. I mean she was working in a place that full of male species sho mostly was smart, loved StarTrek (and StarWars and action heroes), and only went casual dating with them because she didn't feel the spark. Okay, that was accepted. But when the H came along, who happened to have similar qualities except she immediately felt attracted to, she felt different. I mean that's fine too, I guess. But b=my romantic heart couldn't accept it. I guess I just wish there was some sort of grand gesture or turning point event or even a swept-me-off-my-feet moment, you know. So I guess that was just purely a matter of my taste of romance story; this didn't work for me. But this one was one heck of steamy story :)

No virgin
No contraception mentioned
No drama, no cheating, No OW/OM, HEA
Overall score: 2.5 instalove score

This is the 1st book by Barbra Campbell that I have read, but it definitely won't be the last! Ms. Campbell has a way of entertaining you with her story lines as well as her delightful characters. You can't help cheering for their happily ever after. Reginald and Athena's story is one of coming to terms with your feelings and learning to deal with them to get your desired results. This story has everything you could want in a book; comedy, drama, angst and hot romance, also comedy (I know that I already said that but it needs to be mentioned twice). You will be laughing out load so you don't want to miss this one!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book I've read by Ms. Campbell and I'm finding she writes perfect stories for a light, fun read. They straddle the line between sweet/steamy, tending a little more towards the sweet, romantic side.

This new short story is no exception. It has engaging characters, a low-drama plot and a satisfying conclusion. It can easily be read in one sitting and kept me turning the pages. Overall it was well written, a little humorous at times, with good chemistry and build up between Athena and Reginald.

Note: Available on KU at time of posting. This is part of a series of standalone HEA stories written by different authors. Without realizing it, I've already read another one in the series and rated it highly as well, so on the whole I recommend the series as well as any works by Ms. Campbell.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Genius junkie is book three in the ‘’chasing dreams’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Reginald starts a new job he never expects to find the perfect woman for him.
The chemistry between Reginald and Athena is clear to see and I liked them together.
I like that it was Athena that made the first move. People may have seen her as a player but she was just looking for the perfect man.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Cute short about two geniuses and their “experiments”. Reginald is a new hire at a think tank, Athena is a scientist studying pheromones and their effects. She is also looking for a man who can get her excited. She makes a Wookie call that Reginald answers at lunch, she then comes over and introduces herself. But the guys at the table warn Reginald, she has dated all of them looking for that special someone. Coming on to strong at lunch she email Reginald to apologize and asks him for drinks. But fearing she will screw up her immense attraction to him she bolts after a few minutes. Trying to defend her to his coworkers he sticks his foot in it and has to apologize. She forgives him and has him help her play out her fantasy in her lab. Epilogue with twins on the way.

Quick read about Reginald and Athena, both geniuses that have an instant attraction to each other as well as a love for star wars. Reginald is warned that Athena has a bad reputation, she dates a guy once, maybe twice but nothing physical. Reginald is so smitten that when Athena asks him out he agrees, and the two of them continue to fall in love and learn to navigate the ups and downs of personal relationships. Really cute relaxing short story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book via Booksprout. OMG, what can I say? While it’s short and SUPER insta-lovey, it hit all of my nerd buttons! It’s not just a boy nerd falling for a hot girl or a girl nerd fall for a hot guy, it’s two nerds who fall for each other who in their own way are kinda hot—and since I’m much like Athena in that I LOVE smart guys and think that they are REALLY hot BECAUSE they are smart, I highly recommend this story to the nerd lovers of the world! I hope that this is a part of a series or that there is another story for Reggie and Athena.

I loved the idea of this book - two Mensa level nerds finding love. And the way Reginald and Athena clicked, and the way they first connected was priceless. Despite their intelligence, despite being in the corporate world, Reginald and Athena are very real and relatable. Sweet and sexy, touching and heartfelt, this is a highly entertaining story!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Reginald had just started a new job. He was in the cafeteria when he meet Athena. The guys he was with we're giving him a hard time about Athena. Athena and Reginald go through the work gossip Mill in this book. Neither one knows how to communicate their desire for the other one. This is an interesting, short book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
