Godless

Just like every other book in this series, or at least the last few, I was just in shock when I finished this latest. There were so many darn secrets revealed, and Callie is just really in a different place at the end of this one. And she picks up such a fascinating new character along the way; he’s probably one of my new favorites. But we will see how things play out. This far in the multiverse, I can’t say much without giving away so many spoilers for new readers, but I will say this is just what we would expect from this author: a fun, LOL, well-written urban fantasy to keep you reading from beginning to end. Highly recommend this book and of course all the other books. I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Callie is back, picking up where she left off in Black Sheep. Back at Castle Dracula with her Godfather, Samael. Yes, that Samael. The Fallen Angel/Demon Samael.<br /><br />Her goal, as last described in book 6 is to kill Dracula. Ambitious goal. But, then, Callie is an ambitious kinda gal. But, this is Callie, so of course things start going wrong almost from the jump. I can't tell you how, or what, or even with whom because that would be giving things away. And I don't do spoilers. Suffice it to say, she's off to a rough start, and it's not long before "bone-headed" (ha!) moves start to undermine her quest.<br /><br />If you can get past the many descriptions and metaphors, which I recommend you try to do, you'll have a lot of questions you didn't even know you had answered. And a lot of occurrences that needed to happen will finally happen. Mysteries solved, quests defined, missing pieces found and so much more.<br /><br />While I may not consider this to be the best he's ever written, it's still a Shayne Silvers book, which in and of itself puts it up there near the top. And it definitely was a necessary book if you want Callie's progress to be smooth and flawless. We needed to go where this book took us, and we needed to know all this book divulged. And where it took us, and all it divulged, was as twisty and turny as we expect it to be considering Shayne's propensity towards surprises. As usual, we would never have guessed where this brought us. Nothing is as you thought. Whatever you think you know is wrong.<br /><br />Can't wait to see what Callie and crew do next! Just one of 3 series by Shayne Silvers that has me hooked beyond recovery! Reading is, by far, my favorite vice! And Shayne Silvers is one of my favorite drugs of choice!<br /><br />I received this as an ARC and give this review in my own words and of my own volition. Hard to say anything about this book without spoiling it ....but it did come from a different angle. Still pure awesome. Still a fun roller coaster ride. Get your hands on everything with this man's name on it.

This was another great installment to another great series!<br />Shayne probably made me laugh harder with the witty banter between Callie and her new friend and sidekick, than I have with any of his other books! <br />As the battle for intelligence against the greatest evil organization ever seen in literature wages on, Shayne manages to keep the reader laughing and turning pages even during some of the darkest scenes that could happen to a person.

Godless, book 7 in the Feathers and Fire series picks up immediately after the end of book 6. Silvers use of snarky wit can make you ugly snort/laugh, all the while hiding depths of wisdom that the main character has dropped on her. New characters are added to the Templeverse and they are well developed and vital for the storyline. Shayne Silvers is the Bob Ross of urban fantasy; he is painting 3 connected series into a landscape of beauty. I can’t wait for the next book.

Just finished the ARC of Godless, and let me say... You NEED this READ! On top of the character defining moments, jaw-dropping revelations and pivotal scenes, you will have so many hilarious one-liners and insults to add your arsenal it will be one overflowing snark-tank. Callie, simply put, is the champion of this world. Shayne Silvers has outdone himself with this book. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

This book is amazing! The usual twists and turns but some added heart stoppers. And you’ll love the ending...........Or will you!

Callie makes the trip to castle dracula to remove the vampire as head of the sanguine council. Betrayal leaves her fighting for her life as the beast of the castle remembers her bloodline. A new ally comes with no memory and a twist of fate. This is a great series with a kick ass heroine. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
