I glared at the two demons occupying the linebacker meatsuits. They were dressed like they were about to play eighteen holes of the world's most boring sport - right down to the plaid shorts and white Nike golf shoes. "Either one of you touches a hair on his head, and I'll send you back to Hell faster than you can say Beelzebub's tits." I bared my teeth in a feral grin. "They don't call me the Madder for nothing."

This was surprisingly good. It was funny and interesting, and even though it was super fluffy, it works. The world and the whole demon and minion thing was different. I liked Olivia, her relationship with David was teeth-achingly sweet at times, but I liked them. I would actually really like to read the next one, but to be perfectly honest, I won't. I absolutely won't be paying $4 to read Charlotte's story…but, ya know, if goes on sale or on KU I'm all over that shit.

I flipped him the bird with my free hand, before using my other hand to fling my beautiful red stiletto at him. He seemed startled to be the target of a Frisbee-ing shoe - so you can imagine his surprise when the spiked heel pierced his left eye. I was surprised, too.
I was aiming for his forehead.
A heel between the eyes wouldn't kill a demon, but it would paralyze him long enough for me to work the spell needed to drive him from this plane of existence.
He howled as he toppled onto the well-manicured bluegrass. After a moment, his howls quieted, and he sat up, slack-jawed, and stared at me with his remaining blue eye.
"You rotten bitch." He pointed to the red shoe protruding from his face. "Do you have any idea how hard this body was to come by? And now you've gone and ruined the freaking eyeball."
"If it's any consolation, I didn't mean to hit you in the eye."
"Apology not accepted." He grabbed the heel and struggled to disengage it from his face. "I'm sending you the bill for the blood on my tuxedo."

~

I grabbed my shirt and covered my breasts. "What are you, thirteen? You're too young to be looking at boobs."
David snorted. "Most boys look at boobs as soon as they figure out what they are. Afriel is the angel of youth. And apparently, the angel of bad timing."
"I'm older than the earth, so try millions of years old," said Afriel, ignoring David's jibe. His gray gaze pinned mine. "Rest assured, I am not interested in your rather sizeable mammory glands."
"I don't know if I should be relieved or offended." I said.
But Afriel had returned his attention to David. "I told you, emphatically, not to have intercourse with this demon's minion." He threw up his hands. "Congratulations. You've defiled yourself by sleeping with this tainted woman. I hope you're happy."
David flashed a very satisfied smile. "Very."
I, on the other hand, had a real problem with the angel calling me a tainted woman. "Hey! You might be ancient, but these days, women aren't considered tainted just because they enjoy sex outside of marriage. Females like orgasms, too."
The angel Afriel lifted his hands in a placating gesture. "No offense. I was talking about your soul. It's filthy, and through copulation, David has absorbed some of that filth onto his own."
I didn't like that idea at all. The last thing I wanted was to transfer my evil to David. "Well, give me a metaphysical broom, and I'll sweep it off of him."
"Hah!" Afriel rolled his eyes. "You think it's that easy?"

~

"He's torturing them." I choked up again. "He want you, or the torture won't stop. He's had them locked away with the things that terrorize them the most. Char with spiders, Elise with a tight space, and Eliza with cotton balls."
David's eyes widened. "Cotton balls? They weren't even invented until the nineteen-hundreds."
"That's what makes it even worse. She's never felt them, but she has this unnatural fear of them touching her, and now, Moloch has them all over her."
"I guess it's called a phobia for a reason." His arms encircled my back. "You know, Ennis has a thing about wrinkle nuts."
It took me a second to process, then I snorted. "Wrinkled nuts?"
"Yeah." David smiled. "He says he won't eat nuts that have wrinkles. They give him the willies."
"It's a good thing Ray and Frank don't have that problem."

Gone with the Minion by Renee George is a fun afternoon read filled with quirky characters, demons, an angel, ghosts and a second chance at love. Olivia Madder was a sassy and kick@ss minion for the demon, Moloch. She kept her end of the bargain but took out his lower level demons during her downtime. Laughter, romance and some serious physical battles before Olivia gets her happy ending.

This is such a creative, fun, and entertaining book. The characters are a pip, it was fun getting to know them. I enjoyed Olivia’s sass, fierceness, and protectiveness of those she cared about. The story had me laughing out loud, shaking my head, and cheering for Olivia’s happiness. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Gone with the Minion was a bit of a new spin on the type of book that I had expected. As I started it, it took me a little while to get into a comfortable groove. I wasn't sure that I was feeling it. And then BOOM, everything came together. I spent the rest of the book stuck to it until it was finished. I was emotional and had to grab the tissues. There were plenty of twists and unexpected plots. And if that wasn't enough, the ending left with a tease for the next books in the series. The story was definitely a deal with a demon!

Gone with the Minion is a fast paced lesson in making choices and dealing with the consequences resulting from those choices.
Liv is cocky and smart mouthed but she is also smart and strong. She has been keeping up her end of the deal for 150 years but now Moloch wants to change the deal. Never trust a demon. She needs the help of her ghostly sisters and a dead man she has never stopped loving to get out of this mess.
This is the first in a series and I really enjoyed it. This is well worth the read and I will be reading the next in the series asap.
Gone With The Minion Madder Than Hell Book 1
by Renee George, Love Spells
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book blew my mind, or I guess I can say Renee George did. What got to me in this book is not just the pure awesomeness of the world created by Renee George, or the desirability of Gone With The Minion or that the clever mystery is woven throughout this book I read and enjoyed Gone with the Minion, Madder Than Hell Book 1 by Renee George, and I think Olivia "Liv" Madder character might have topped them all. There is just something about this book that worked a little bit better for me and I really enjoyed these characters. I especially enjoyed being able to Laugh Out Loud with this Paranormal Romance it's a great mix of Demons, Angels and Ghosts plus other mythology with all sorts of paranormal creatures. The chemistry between Liv and David is incredible. He is so hot and sexy and of course, huge. (Haha!) I loved the sexual tension between these two, especially when David pick up Liv and carry her to their bed, they are very lusty and touchy plus their scenes are sizzling hot and sexy, oh my are they so freaking hot! One of the things that draws me to this book is the sheer diversity of all of the paranormal creatures. There is a master demon, angels, minons and more. I especially enjoyed the villian of this book, who has a very handsome form. Just their inner dialogue makes this book worth the read. Gone With The Minion just blew me away. What I enjoy is that Renee George knows how the tension is built around adults when they are in sexual and romantic relationships. Readers and fans of her other series will not be disappointed with Gone With The Minion. I also enjoy the way she writes a romantic and rich mystery plus she gives us readers more details about fallen angels and their history. Plus additionally we get some phenomenal characters with a sizzling relationship progression. Liv feels guilty that she made a deal with the demon Moloch. Liv is trying to make Moloch sorry he forced her to sign in blood on the dotted line by removing his lesser demons from the Earthly plane. But despite Liv's guilt and pain the book is also full of humor, it's so damned funny. If you have not yet had the opportunity to read this book, it's the first book in this series. It's an very interesting book on its own and I think that Renee George's fans will also enjoy this one. Renee George doesn’t disappoint and she has created a wonderful world for readers! The entire book of Gone With The Minion is supremely satisfying to read. Yes, there are parts that will make you laugh and parts that will make your heart weep for Liv, David, their crew and Liv sisters. But there are parts that will give us a exciting and heartwarming feeling that Liv and David will have their HEA! Gone with the Minion is an excellent start to the World of the Madder Than Hell series. I can’t wait to read more of this series. I would highly recommend starting with this the first book Gone With The Minion. That way, you could enjoy all the details and nuances of this fascinating world. Each book focuses on a lead couple and while the couple works through their attraction, the crazy villain is usually up to no good. I also want to say Thank You to Renee George she is a very creative and magnificent author! Thanks Renee George❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️?I enjoyed it this much and so much more!

Liv Madder chased the demon, Carmine Hennessey, through the estate grounds of his mansion. When she called out that she would make a deal with him, it caught his attention – no demon could refuse making a deal. She immobilized him long enough to complete a spell that would take him out of this plane of existence. While she worked on sending him back to hell, her three sisters – who were ghosts -- stood behind her watching the process.

Before she dispatched the demon to hell, Liv asked him how to find Lazul, one of the higher-up demons. But it looked like he wasn’t going to give her the information. The more powerful ones tended to be more stubborn about that. The good news was that once she sent the demon back to hell, it would not be able to come back to this plane again. She had already gotten rid of 317 of them! This was her own way of getting back at the demon lord Moloch who had made her a minion like this in the first place! She had to obey him, but she didn’t have to make him happy with her.

Liv had 50 years left of her 200-year minion term. She had sacrificed everything to save her sisters, as well as David and his family. All she had to do to fulfill her part of the hated bargain was to make a deal with a human every 10 years which provided a soul for Moloch. But this time, 4 days before the “due date”, the human had an odd accident and died, which nullified the bargain – and she knew who helped make that happen! Could he cheat like that? And why would he? She only had 50 years left to serve! On a hunch, she asked what he really was after and he said he would forget the soul if she instead retrieved something for him. It had to be super powerful! It turned out to belong to David Jensen, someone who meant the world to her, a book that Moloch says was his. And he added the fact that David was dead, knowing how it would devastate her! What he didn’t tell her was that now David’s grandson had the book – how could she get it without getting him involved in all of this? If she didn’t do this, she and her sisters would all be stuck in hell forever. But when she met Tristan, who looked exactly like David but with grey eyes, she got the surprise of her life. David was still alive through an angel’s bargain – and now Moloch wants David’s soul instead!

There are so many twists and turns in this exciting book! The attempted snarky humor at the start at first didn’t really draw me in. But very quickly, as the story line moved along and the reader is shown the depth of Liv’s love for David, everything changed. I found myself totally focused on what would happen next! You won’t want to miss a word of this story! It really is amazing and I highly recommend it!
