I really liked this one. It was quirky and funny. I enjoyed Ashley's clumsiness and sarcastic banter. Her relationships with her best friend and author friends were funny and heart warming. The guys were sweet and hot and willing to open their hearts and minds to love just as Ashley was finally doing. Everyone was just so genuine and wanting the best each for each other. It was lighthearted, sweet, funny, and offered a great message of love, acceptance, and healing. It also definitely had its dirty steamy moments.....I will never look at corn on the cob the same way!!

I really liked the idea of this book, but I feel like it was just too short to pull off the relationships between Ashley and her 5 guys. I think she needed more time with each of them so the readers could develop the connection between them all. I mean... Silas came in during the last few pages of this book and we hardly read about him the whole time!! He said a few words to her after she waved at him one day, she acted awkward, then suddenly he’s showing up at her door at the end because her best friend contacted him, asked him to call the other 4 guys that were interested in her and set up some sort of “agreement” between them. So he shows up one night and ta-da! She’s got a 5th man in her harem now. So strange....

I did like the idea of her meeting the guys online. I got some of their conversations but it glossed over most of it. I don’t enjoy the whole “...and we talked for 3 months” sort of thing. I want to read about it! I basically read the first convo and that was that.

That being said, I really did enjoy reading this. I did like the guys, especially Jason and Maverick. For some reason I just really felt both of those characters. Not that Maverick was really there for much of the book but I liked him for the few sections I read, I guess.

The whole using an ear of corn to fuck Ashley with was a little weird though. Hah. But I guess that was the point?

So overall, I’d give this 3⭐️

Loved tis lighter comedy that was so romantic and real. In these times that we live in now, a good light hearted read that makes you laugh out loud and honestly just feel good.

Also, I love that this has the author's realism into this story. How neat it is for Ashley to pour her heart out into these stories she makes, and to me that just makes them so much more. That is what makes this story, and that we can all relate on some form or another. I mean who out there is a single mom who can relate? Or new to dating, or just dating after a divorce.

So yeah, this is most definitely a must read. Not only is it funny and real, but honestly just a really good read.

This was an extremely fun read but, more than that, it struck a major chord with me. Especially these passages:

***

“I know I’m not ugly. Well, most days I do. There are still some bad ones. That kind of trauma doesn’t go away. He used a lot against me to stay. My lack of education. I had been out of a job from having the kids. He degraded me a lot during his lows. When I finally escaped this last time, I still had people telling me to stay. They had no idea about any of this, and they don’t understand how a victim’s mind works. We’ll downplay the bad because we’ve been trained to live in a narcissist’s reality. We’ll go back, only to suffer it again.”

&

Even a toxic relationship breeds deeper feelings. I still had to grieve that part of me. I had to embrace that there might be days I still needed to cry over it. She had been me for a decade. She is why I stood where I was right now.

&

We all need that reminder. Some of us are afraid to ask for help during that storm. I know because I was too. So, during my happy ending, I’m giving you something to part with. I wrote it for me during this crazy adventure. The more I found who I am now, the more I could say goodbye to who I used to be.

***

I did NOT expect this level of heavy from this book, but I absolutely identified with those parts, felt myself smile at them, and realized I was even less alone than I thought I was. The story is great, the character development is amazing, and I LOVED Ashley's tribe and the humor they brought to the table. Ashley Amy won me over with this one and I'll be making a point to work through her catalog.

I really like this book. This is HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud so many times that I lost count. This is a romantic comedy with some slapstick humor. There are also a lot of fun dates, "mommy words," action-packed adventure, and some slightly erotic love scenes.

I hope Ashley has a real suitcase by now, instead of the duffel bag. Poor guys...

I thoroughly enjoyed how this was based on real events, and it makes me wonder what was the real versus embellished stuff. I'm guessing the ex-husband stuff is close. I really wanted to reach through the book and give Ashley a big hug. Emotional abuse is just as bad, if not worse, than physical. I could identify with her from the beginning. I liked how her friend, Cheyenne, was supportive but not laying it on so thick that it seemed mushy. There was just a small amount of mushy love stuff, even with multiple men. I hope there will be a sequel with more relationship development.

The only thing that I didn't like was the ending where the main character got all preachy. It was like a chapter in a self-help book had snuck into my fun book.

Some of my favorite things: text conversations, the wild horse, the manure scene, fishing with crocodiles, every conversation with Cheyenne.
I laughed like a loon reading this one. Ashley is really all herself and unapologetic about it, and I loved that. But more, I loved reading her texts with her author group chat. A woman needs a posse like that. Where do I find one?

I liked that she was open with the men she was talking to and they all knew about each other. She didn't lead anyone on. I've tried online dating and found it hard to be myself, always worrying that something I said would put the guy off. I know they're not worth it if they're so easily put off, but still, there's always an insecure part of me which is like, "Don't hit them with the crazy all at once!" So I envied Ashley who seemed to be unafraid of letting all her crazy hang out there for everyone to see.

I did think though that adding the last two men to the mix was a bit overkill, especially the last one. I was skeptical that he was willing to come onboard since he hasn't even spent any time with Ashley and doesn't know her at all. I took away one star for this because I thought the author took it a tad too far. But I loved the first three men and how they really appreciated her and cherished her.

I really LOVED this story! it was hilarious, the MFC was relatable and it was such a feel good book!

My favourite part was the language! I love a woman who cusses and is out spoken it literally had me spitting out my drink at some points in this book and I LOVED it!?

Ashley (the MFC) was clumsy, relatable and honest, she owned her shit and it was AMAZING to watch Ashley go on this adventure to find love! And the men ? we got some sweet, steamy and sexy scenes from this book, I love how they all connected together and the intimacy behind everyone’s actions you can’t help but fall in love with this harem and Ashley’s best friend Cheyenne! We all need a best friend like her! Wow! Just wow

I've read a lot of books and I know most people get into the stories, I know I do. However never has a book shook me to the core like this one. It's like it was really my life, besides the harem of course lol but the kids, the insecurities, the ex, everything. I loved it! I wouldn't have been fine, but then I got to the poem at the end and couldn't help but get teary eyed. It's nice to read about someone finding love again and being happy. I don't think it works out like that in real life but the book was AMAZING either way. Great job ashley you are the bestest!!!

Ok... Ashley Amy is my new favorite, of all time, authors! I've just devoured everything she has published thus far and I am still hungry for more.

With that being said, this book is by far my favorite and I NEED more! If this is truly her real life story, then she is my new spirit animal. I applaud her ability to thrive! She breaks away from a toxic relationship that she feels reluctant to leave because of her 3 sons, not to mention the POS ex-husband that has ruined her self-esteem, but then puts herself out there to find a real life harem... what???? Sign me up! I hope she follows this up with her continued happily ever after with her men and friends. Such a great book and really well written.
