In Way Too Deep

Miss Monica, you did the damn thang again! I LOVE the Henderson's! Although Storm is still my favorite, Kenny crept right on up the list! I see you Kenny! ? I feel genuinely bad for Kenny being the “quiet” guy in a family full of boisterous people. He never felt like he fit in, so he was kind of left in limbo with his siblings. Then to feel unwanted and unloved by his wife, just pushed him over the edge. Keisha girl, I was pissed at Kenny on your behalf, and then for you to find out like that! Like what the hell? Who knew Kenny had it in him? Keisha brought out the savage in Kenny, and I was like hell yeah!! ? He bossed up on that ass, and I loved every minute of it! These two fought hard to get their love back, and that was a beautiful thing to see. Now, I just about lost it finding out about Kendrick! Why Tasha? Damn! Ole hatin' heifer! Although that was so heartbreaking to read, and I feel as though I felt Kenny's every emotion; it was written to perfection! This is one of the best ones yet! You never disappoint. Excellent job! ?????

Wheeeeewww! Where do I start!? Let me say, that I could not stand Kenny at first. Learning the rest of the story and what lead to him cheating cleared everything up &amp; then I couldn’t stand Keisha ?! My thoughts after finding out Keshia wasn’t innocent either and did her dirt for a L O N G time, “now why would she act and treat Kenny like scum at the bottom of the tub &amp; dirt on the bottom of her shoe! The audacity!” I’m glad Kenny put Keshia in her place after a while, she was doing entirely too much. The fact that their love made it through all that spoke V O L U M E S! Baybeeehhhhh, I don’t know a man that would take a woman back after alllaaattt ?! However, i’m so glad that they made it!<br /><br />Kendrick’s story almost took me out of here!!!!! Tasha was repulsive!!! As Kenny said, I wouldn’t normally feel comfortable with Tasha’s punishment, but it was well deserved!!!!!!! This one right her was emotionally draining, but very good as usual! Monica Walters will forever be my fav!!!

Them Hendersons are a force to reckoned with! I wanted to despise Kenny so bad but he made me a fan. It's amazing how once you get information, it's easier to see the truth. There was so much emotion in this story. I went from being angry, to laughing, to crying and back through it all over again. One true message in this story and that of the Henderson family, love conquers all and never fails.

Man listen! This book had me going through every possible emotion. I kept telling myself that I was going to put it down and finish in the morning and the next thing I knew, it was the morning and I was laughing and crying. Kenny definitely redeemed himself. I was hurt my some things that occurred but sometimes life hurts. This is a definite must read.

<strong>Whew! This was deep. </strong><br /><br />This story about the true ugliness marriages fave was written beautifully. I love Kenny. Cheering fir him all tje way. <br /><br />That curve ball killed my soul and had me in my feelings. A tough one to read through. <br /><br />As always I enjoy this author and her amazing storytelling.

This book was a rollercoaster ride for real. Let me start by say Mrs. Monica did the damn thing because I was Anti-Kenny all day but that Keisha man....I wanted to throw them both away at one point but she made me a believer. I enjoyed their growth from beginning to end especially when that tearjerker almost took me out :( Another great read!

<strong> 3.25-ish Stars…</strong><br /><br />I can appreciate this story for what it is as a story of broken trust, lack of communication, toxic love, betrayal but also one of redemption and forgiveness and second chances. But I sometimes felt the levels of betrayal were not dealt with with the gravity that they deserved. Like imagine Kenny’s siblings laughing up his random indiscretions with random women. Imagine us never quite understanding why Keisha was dragging Kenny so publicly when she knew she had dirty laundry as well… Because some of these issues weren’t tackled with the gravity they needed, I felt what could have been a 5-star book taking on a really difficult subject like flagrant infidelity and whether it is possible to change, was less impactful. <br /><br />The premise is that after Kenny’s infidelities came out to haunt him in the form of a baby from a fling, his marriage is over and he loses everything and will do anything to get him back. Keisha is as bitter and unforgiving as she should be but unbeknownst to everyone, she’s keeping dirty secrets too and her treatment of Kenny may make him snap and drag them in the mud as well.<br /><br />Kenny’s sudden rage over Keisha’s secret didn’t make sense to me when it was something he had known about for years. The twist of a Machiavellian manipulation plot didn’t make sense to me and for me wasn’t an excuse- you cheated, leave it at that and own it- no one forced you, you did bad on your own. The healing journey was beautiful and well-balanced. The tragedy nearly took me out, it was so heartbreaking and out of nowhere. This was overall a really interesting read and on brand with this author’s ability to drag your emotions from pillar to post in a couple of hundred pages.

REVELATIONS, REDEMPTION, FORGIVENESS AND NEW BEGINNINGS <br /><br />WOW Monica, as always you do your thing when it comes to writing and putting together a story but this one here takes the cake. When I was first introduced to Kenny Henderson, he was at the bottom of my list because I just didn't like his actions. But he has definitely redeemed himself in this book. It takes a man to own up to his mistakes and take responsibility for the role he played in the demise of his marriage. They say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, well Keisha wasn't as perfect and innocent as we all thought she was. Although Kenny and Keisha had their flaws, with lack of communication being at the core, one thing that still remained was the love they had for each other. You definitely felt every emotion this couple expresses in this book which had me rooting for them to get back to the happy place they were in before. I commend these two for not giving up completely and working things out. Thank you Monica for giving us a story of the newly improved and redeemed Kenny Henderson.

This is my favorite book by Monica Walters. I still have more to go in her catalog. Let me explain why this one was my favorite. Monica held nothing back in this book. She gave us every emotion in this book. This was not your typical romance book with steamy sex scenes...this book provoked a range of emotions as it taught us faith, unconditional love, forgiveness, and redemption. In previous writings we were given a side of Kenny that was definitely unfavorable. Then we were given the full story and my mind was blown. This book taught us that we need to be careful counting folks out without knowing every aspect of the truth. Was his actions justifiable? Does that matter when we are all fragile and imperfect. I laughed, found myself angry, and I cried. This book was everything. Without any spoilers I recommend you read this book!

A story of redemption and forgiveness. I was so ready for Kenny's story. The author did such a great job of telling it. I think the few twists that came in the story were executed flawlessly. I was almost brought to tears at one dramatic event that occurred. While I had an inkling something was traumatic was going to happen and was bracing for it, I was not as prepared as I thought. Kenny's story is one that will tug at your heartstrings and make you re-think how you communicate with loved ones going forward. People always say communication is key and this story is a good example of just why that holds true. Great job! umm ShyLou and Cass what ya'll doing?
