Book 4 in the Alpha Force Elite series and each book can be read as a standalone. Quick read about Maya and Cameron. She meets him when he is there to help train her dog and the attraction that they felt was instant. Great chemistry between them. Can she trust how she feels for him and how he feels for her? She has issues with military men and this stems from what happened to her sister. Will he help her realize that not all men are the same and he will be there for her and her alone. Great addition to a great series. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Maya has suffered with anxiety for a long time it has been affecting her everyday life after her job interview ended in a disaster. So her next big task to conquer is training her new Pomeranian dog that she has named Zelda. So when she arrives for her dog training lesson she wasn’t expecting the most handsome man she has ever seen nor her body’s reaction to him. So when she feels something for a military man she tries to push him away especially after what happened with her sister. Can she learn to trust Kang or will he break her trust before they start?

Cameron Kang is a Marine who specialises in weapons and works within the Alpha Force Elite but he also works as a dog trainer and he has been hired to help Maya teach her dog, he took one look at Maya and knew that she was someone special but he knows that she needs to be treated with kid gloves. It takes two dog training lessons and one date for him to fall under her spell but how will she react when he tells her he is being deployed on a mission next week? Will she give him a chance or has he lost his chance?

This was a really sweet book and I loved how Cameron just knew that she was the one for him but her sisters past has left her weary of military men. It’s the fourth book in the series and can be read as a standalone but I would recommend you treat yourself to the previous books. This author always gives me a solid 4* Read.
Oh Lord Hammercy!!! He is a tall tattooed drink of water....now what?

What do you get when you combine one buttoned up and in control Military man, one shy and anxious curvy woman and a nine month old Pomeranian puppy with a personality of a lion....a very fun and sexy story.
Maya Mitchell is in her early twenties and suffers from a bad anxiety disorder. She is also smart and works as a data analyst who knows her statistics. She adopted a nine month old Pomeranian a couple of weeks ago that she has named Zelda. The little bundle of pure love and enthusiasm looks like a little bear and has the heart of a giant lion. Maya's parents have paid for training lessons for Zelda, well actually for both of them "...so that Zelda can be successful, and I can practice some semblance of routine, control and leadership." There first lesson is today and they are meeting the trainer in the park.
Cameron Kang is part of the Alpha Force Elite team specializing in weapons specialist and analyst. He is thirty-three years old and still single. One of the other things he does is train dogs since he was in the Marine Corps. He has trained them for military, police K9's, bomb dogs and emotions support dogs He has been hired to train a new puppy and is meeting the own and dog in the park on a beautiful Saturday which is about to become even more beautiful.
When Maya and Zelda are walking in the park to meet the dog trainer Zelda takes off and runs to a man who bends down and catches her. She has good taste as he is gorgeous, like drop dead handsome with an incredibly gorgeous face. It turns out that Mr. Gorgeous is actually the new dog trainer. When Cam sees the little dog running to him he is much more interested in the beautiful and curvy young woman running after it. Let's just say that he is not disappointed that she and the little bundle of energy are his new client.
Kang is really attracted to Maya but he also is falling for this painfully shy young woman. But little Zelda has also claimed his heart immediately. Now he just needs to work some magic and approach Maya carefully so that she does not spook and get away from him. It will not all go smoothly and there will be some drama along the way but in the end Kang is willing to wait for Maya to realize just how strong she actually is and that she also deserves to live and be loved.

Kang is the fourth book in the Alpha Force Elite series and is a boisterous and charming story. I will say that Zelda does steal the show. But then again Maya's very funny neighbor Margie, aka Bitter Betty, appears I was laughing at her wit and bluntness in a loving way. I loved this book and would Recommend it to other readers. Actually I would recommend the whole series if you love our man to be strong, handsome and sexy Alpha's who fall hard for the beautiful, quirky, strong women that give them a run for their money.

Kang is the fourth book in the Alpha Force Elite series by Mazzy King. This book portrays the romantic journey of Maya Mitchell and Cameron Kang. Maya is a 24-year-old business analyst. Cameron is a 33-year-old former marine, who now is part of this elite military team. In his off hours, Cameron trains dogs. It is through this capacity that Maya and Cameron meet. Maya owns a Pomeranian rescue pup named Zelda. She hires Cameron to help her train Zelda. From their first meet, these two realize that there is a certain chemistry between them. Cameron realizes she is a sensitive soul. He senses that he needs to be careful with Maya as she seems fragile. Despite this, Cameron knows that Maya is his forever woman. It does not take long to realize she suffers from panic attacks. Can Maya work through her pre-existing stereotype beliefs about military men? Does Cameron have the patience to help her overcome these insecurities? Will the find happiness? To discover what lies in their future, you must read this book.

I liked this fast-paced military romance short story. I appreciate Ms. King’s ability to develop unique and loveable characters. I enjoy the way she uses their vulnerabilities to add tension to her plot line. Again, Ms. King’s clever use of an epilogue adds the perfect touch to this short story. Through the epilogue she smoothly irons out her story’s conclusion and then hooks readers into the next book of this series. Way to go, Ms. King.
This might be my favorite book by this author yet!!! Any time you combine hot alpha males and puppies...I'm sold!

Maya suffers from an anxiety disorder and ends up adopting a Pomeranian puppy she names Zelda. Maya's parents sign her and Zelda up for training classes which happen to be lead by Kang. Cameron Kang is a weapons specialist for the Alpha Force but he trains dogs in his free time and when he meets Zelda and Maya he can't beyond happy that these are his new clients. Maya has had her heart broken in the past and she's scared to let love in, will Kang find a way to break through to her or will he end up having to give up the woman he's falling hard for?

Zelda was the real MVP in this book, I'm not even lying... this dog was one of my favorite little supporting characters. I loved they way the author handled Maya and her anxiety disorder, it definitely helps draw attention and normalize it which is very much needed. I loved the chemistry between Maya and Kang, hands down one of my favorite pairings from this author.

**I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own***

This story was hard for me to rate and review so I took some time to think about it. I decided that I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though it dealt with anxiety and panic attacks. The characters were interesting and likable. Margie cracked me up and I have decided that I need a neighbor like her! Cameron (Kang) was wonderful. I liked that he didn't push Maya. He was very understanding and purposeful in trying to make her as comfortable as possible. I felt so bad for him when Maya threw a bunch of accusations at him. Cameron was upset but he stayed calm and tried to get Maya to talk to him. He was a really good guy. Maya was harder for me because we have the same issues and that pulled me in more. I cringed a lot. Part of me understood Maya's issues but part of me felt that she didn't give Cameron enough of a chance considering all that he did trying to make her comfortable. I loved Margie's talk with Maya as well as her encouragement. Cameron's patience was totally amazing. Margie and Cameron's happy ever after made me smile. I recommend reading this book.

This is my first book to read in the series and I loved it. I'm already making plans to read the prior books because if the guys in the previous books are anything like Cameron Kang then I'm hooked. Cameron is a total sweetheart who has a lot of patience for Maya. Maya has some anxiety issues and it appears she is a little bit paranoid too. Cameron takes all this in stride because he sees someone special and wants to be with her. I love that there's no push and pull with expressing their feelings. Both are upfront and that's so refreshing to read. Maya got her confidence she needed and put on her big girl pants and owned her issues and come to terms of her feelings for the hunky ex Marine/dog trainer. This was good because Cameron was already all in when he first met the pretty young lady. They had a very nice HEA and the epilogue was HOT! I really enjoyed this book and will keep with the series.

Maya is a 20+ single, shy, curvy, smart statistical, anxious woman. Kane is a single, 30+, weapon specialist, big hunk, who also trains dogs. Maya just adopted a small Pomerania named Zelda who needs some basic training. Kane sees Maya and immediately feels he wants to know more about her. Maya although attracted to Kane holds off from dating him. She has issues with military men. Kane is willing to go slow but still will ask her again. Car issues, dog issues, and military issues. Is there any chance these two can get together. It is a very enjoyable read with likable characters including Zelda. Kane and Maya have a heartwarming, tender, sweet story and you will not be disappointed. It is a quick little read before bedtime that will leave you dreaming of kisses, romance, and passionate love. Enjoy the journey!

Giving people a chance can be harder than it sounds...

Cam is part of Alpha Force Elite, A weapons expert with skills in K9 training, he trains civilian dogs during his off hours... there is something joyous and relaxing in time spent helping the animals.

Maya has anxiety issues that have held her back, and kept her from living her best life. What are the odds a military hero will be understanding of her issues?

What I loved was how this story didn't discuss PTSD and yet brought it into the conversation, pointing out that military personnel have a lot of experience with all levels of anxiety issues, and are perhaps far more understanding than civilians realize. A reminder that not all scars are seen, but with help many wounds can be eased.

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is an engaging, solid stand alone story.
