Misadventures with a Time Traveler

well now ... color me surprised! :)<br /><br />Okay, so here’s the thing. I don’t normally (almost never) read stories that have <i>outside the realm of possibility</i> elements to them. It’s just not my thing. But I’m on an <i>Angel Payne </i> high right now so I said *shrug* why not? And you know what …. LOVED.IT. Hence the above <i>color me surprised</i> statement. I mean I was sure I would at least not hate it, but I LOVED IT! It wasn’t just a well written story. It was a <b>fun</b> story and deliciously <b>sexy</b> story and just <i>gah</i>, I can’t with this woman right now! LOL <br /><br />I’ve been a fan of the <i>Misadventures</i> stories from the start, not only because they’ve always been the perfect <i>break in the day/life</i> books, but also because they have introduced me to some very talented authors. <b>THIS</b> wonderful story along with many others have made me happy and put a huge grin on my face when I’m reading them. <br /><br />As always, I look forward to many more <i>Misadventures</i> in the future and <b>well done <a href="https://goodreads.com/author/show/6452869.Angel_Payne" title="Angel Payne" rel="noopener">Angel Payne</a></b>!!<br />

No surprise, he's great at everything - but I just can't deal. Allie's friends gift her a dream birthday getaway to a <i>gorgeous French chateau,</i> but she's kicking and screaming. <i>(Um, I volunteer as tribute!?)</i> And <i>why</i> is she mad about her vacation? <br /><br /><blockquote>I go ahead and snarl it. “Look; I have to keep up this pace—”<br /><br />“Why?” Drue ripostes.<br /><br />“Because I have to... Someone has to be the leading fashion industry advocate for girls with game like this.”<br /><br />I end it with enough sass to allow for a hips-and-ass combo shimmy, emphasizing the generous curves that have become my distinctive calling card to design houses across the world. I’m unashamed about the motion and undaunted about my achievement.</blockquote><br /><br />Sigh... Heavy is the head that wears the crown of <u>The</u> Leading Fashion Industry Advocate. What would we do without this lone fashion blogger lighting the way? And so humble, too. Hell, she's practically Jeanne d'Arc. ?‍♀️<br /><br />... Hours later, she's alone, drunk and masturbating in her room. Suddenly she hears a noise coming from the armoire! Lo and behold - it's the MMC - transported hundreds of years through time! Is she freaked out? Terrified? Embarrassed? Angry? Oh no, not our genius FMC. In true <i>"hold my wine"</i> fashion, she simply assumes her friends <i>hired a male escort </i>for her birthday - and instantly starts groping and grinding on this poor bewildered dude.<br /><br />In fairness, I still probably could've rolled with it - if this was a screwball comedy. But there's not nearly enough humor to pull off a scene this farcical. And then when I skimmed ahead, I saw that even past 80%, <input type="checkbox" class="spoiler__control" aria-label="The following text has been marked spoiler. I never use the word "cringey", because I feel it's kinda judgmental and uselessly vague - so I'll just say this. I physically couldn't force myself to listen any more.

Oh my goodness how I love this story! Max is every woman's gallant dream. Strong, fierce and yet oh so lost at times and so childlike at others. How else can you be when you over 200 years out of time? Allie is his celestial soul mate but thinks she is only his 'for the moment' fling and a customer.<br /><br />The story takes us around France and then off to New York. All the while Max has to move fast to keep up and understand. But one thing is blatantly clear, his and Allie's futures must mesh for him to remain. <br /><br />I do like Allie but there were times I wanted to yank her and say "Wake up and smell the time travel!"<br />And as delicious and desirable as Max is there were just so many "Honey, I need to hug you." moments. <br /><br />I love the excitement. I love the imagery. and I love the passion. I just freaking love this story.

It is a beautiful escape that will play with your imagination.<br><br>Alessandra and Maximilian story is a unique and refreshing fairy tale where the princess who has Charming Prince allergy is more interested in fashion while the prince is patiently waiting for her love. They are from two different periods of time but their souls recognise each other as soul mates. They hearts are entwined, beating as one. Although the differences, they belong together. They are destiny. They are meant to be. Inked on the pages of fate. Their connection is intense and filled with dangerous desires and raw emotions.<br><br>Allie a workaholic video blogger doesn't believe in romance because she learnt it from her mother. She is quite cynical about love and happily ever after. A trip to <i>Châteaux De Leon</i> for celebrating her birthday with her friends will turn upside her world, it will change everything. Misadventures With a Time Traveler by Angel Payne is the second Misadventures book written by Angel Payne. <br /><br />Misadventures with a Time Traveler is about workaholic Allie Fine, her friends surprised her with a birthday trip to the French countryside, and prince Maximillian De Leon, who hasn't seen the the light of day since 1789.<br /><br />I really loved their story. It was so good, so well written, hot and romantic.

Irresistibly cute and filled with beautifully written characters and enough spice to make you a little hot under the collar. Allie and Max might be from two different periods of time but their connection was filled with laughter and raw emotions. This was a great addition to the series.

Misadventures with a Time Traveler by Angel Payne was part of the Misadventures series. The series was written by various authors with a steamy flare and can all be read in any order as a stand-a-lone. <br /><br />I’ve taken a hiatus from formal reviews for awhile but a couple quick thoughts: I don’t normally read this genre so it was hard for me to follow at first, but I enjoyed it and was excited to see where the author took it. And I totally loved Maximilian. I enjoyed Allie too, but Max sold me on the story. And no spoilers so no elaboration, but I would have liked to have learned more at the ending - even if it was en epilogue. It ended a little too quickly with me wanting to see more into the future…or the past. Otherwise, it was a quick read, well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Maximillian De Leon - an 18th century Prince, landing in the 21st century.<br />Alesssndra Fine - a fashion vlogger, with her sights set only on her career.<br /><br />I never really cared for time travel before. And was leary about this book, but I trust, Angel Payne to change my perspective, and boy how she did.<br /><br />The story between Max and Allie is hot and steamy and one that when you read it, you will need ice water and a fan to keep cool.<br /><br />This is a book that can be read in just a few hours, or you can read it slow, and savor each word. Either way, you're going to love this book.<br /><br />Misadventures with a Time Traveler is most definitely a 5 star book, with a 10 star potential.

Allie is a workaholic on a trip to France as a surprise birthday trip. She isn't thrilled about it until she meets Max, who she thinks is an actor. Max is really an 18th century prince that has traveled to the 20th century. The steam between Max and Allie is hot enough to need ice cubes to cool off. Just maybe Allie has found her true prince in the literal and figurative sense of the word. A good, quick read.
