Introduction:
JAKE - I first saw Charlotte Foster on the sidewalk in Seattle when the contents of her purse were scattered on the cement. Bending down, I offered my help, and when she looked up, a bolt of lightning tore through me. She was sobbing and a complete mess, yet the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. That night, I saw her again at a bar. She was alone and very intoxicated. I helped her into a cab and made sure she got home safely. After putting her to bed, I left a note, walked out the door, and headed back home to Los Angeles. Imagine my surprise when she showed up for an interview at my architect firm one month later. Her world had crumbled and she was searching for a fresh start. I wanted to be her fresh start and convincing her that we were meant for each other was going to be the toughest challenge of my life. CHARLOTTE – My perfect life was shattered by a simple phone call, and in a split second, my world came crashing down around me. After a night of heavy drinking and bar hopping,...

Here’s another book where the hero can’t keep his dick in his pants after telling the heroine that he loved her that he wouldn’t be like her cheating asshole of a husband. He runs away hurt that she pushed him away and then has a ONS while on his trip. Meanwhile the stupid heroine is on her own world feeling horrible that she pushed him away while trying to “find herself” after her divorce. And when she finds out that he slept with the OW she’s like ok it’s fine we weren’t together at that point.

It was definitely a trip that should be shared with someone, but the alone time was what I needed. I met a woman named Nadia. She was attractive and we’d had a one-night stand. She was looking for some fun and I just wanted to forget about Charlotte.

“Thank you for being honest with me. We weren’t together and I had told you that I didn’t love you. I couldn’t expect you not to sleep with someone else.” “You’re not mad?” “How could I be? We were barely friends at that point. Did it work?” The corners of her mouth slightly curved upwards. “No.” I brought my hand up to her cheek and softly stroked it. “There isn’t a single woman in this world that could ever make me forget about you. You’re my soulmate, Charlotte Foster.”

Good books are hard to find. And why do I continue reading this author or any author who keeps writing this shit? Simple. KU allows me to read these train wrecks without having to spend my money.

No wonder why this author’s numbers of readers and ratings are getting lower and lower. Her obsession with cheating or sex with op is horrible
I used to read her books blindly a few years ago, but it seems my tastes evolved away from her.

No thanks, a guy that weak is not a hero to me. If he truly loved her no other woman would have allowed him to get it up...its a romance book for goodness sake. It didnt add nothing to the story because as per usual the heroine just accepted he had done it, so what a useless plot point that will only deter readers from reading it or turn them off, I mean.....I dont get it

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

According to my Amazon account I own 17 books written by Sandi Lynn. Although I admit it's been a couple of years since I last read a book written by this author. The blurb for this book sounded interesting. So I decided to reconnect via Kindle Unlimited. Yikes! My taste has evolved- away from this author. The book felt like one long run on sentence. The pace was frantic because the book is too short. They meet. They begin to work together. They fall in love. Even worse it reads dumbed down. I hate romance authors who think their target audience is a first grader. "See Dick run. See Sally run. Run Sally run. Sally and Dick live happily ever after." This is a frantic paced first grade reader. It wins my clunker "makes my eyes bleed" category.

Typical novel ingredients= instant love + the hero rescued the heroine from a potential bad experience + +. Anyway, she was 7 months married to her 10 years boyfriend when her sister discovered him with another woman during a business trip and sent the picture as evidence to her sister; so, the heroine applied for divorced and moved to her home city where she starts working at the hero’s company. He was smitten with her without knowing her and was empathic with her situation because his girlfriend just cheated on him too.

In her vulnerable moment she slept with him, and of course the next day felt terrible, she was still married, the divorced process has not end by that time; few weeks later the hero proclaimed his love to her and she rejected him, so he took 3 weeks ofvacation to clear his head, in during that time he had a one night stand, and of course it meant nothing him just want it to get over her.

So, lets see, he just confessed his love to her and a week later slept with another woman. He said he felt guilted about it, and at one moment confessed that to the h, and guess what?!, she was fine with that. I know he wasn’t her husband but he was a man that proclaimed she was the love of his live (as did the husband) why being so forgetful with him, who said he wont go to get over her with another woman next time they fight, seriously a week after!! And he just chooses to tell her after they had reconciliation sex; she deserved to know before, because he knew it was wrong what else he was feeling guilty. Obviously, the heroine didn’t learn anything about his cheating husband, or it was her destiny to end up with this kind of jerks.

This author just does not work for me. The cheating was not handled well, and the husband was like a caricature. Just like with Promise Me by Barbie Bohrmam, and All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover, where the hero witnesses the destruction cheating caused the heroine previously, then he himself cheats, there is absolutely no forgiving him in my opinion. Even though he did not technically cheat, it was obvious the heroine was confused and needed time, Jake apparently loved the heroine, but couldn’t keep it in his pants? This review sums it up perfectly:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Both H and h cheated on at the origin, but don't expect angst, but rather....cheese... soul mate style. Perhaps I could have dealt if the h was not so irritating, and the H so perfect.I rated it a decent 3 stars as it was overall, mildly entertaining.
I'm more honest when cranky...?
