In the latest Last Vocari novel, set in bestselling author Elena Lawson’s World of Thorn, cunning vampire huntress Rose takes her place at the heart of a battle that’s been waging for centuries. After the shitstorm in the streets of Baton Rouge, one thing has become startlingly clear: I’m not safe, and as long as I’m still breathing, I may never be. I could accept that if it didn’t also jeopardize the safety of my guys.I wish I could walk away—save them. I can’t. The bonds we’ve formed won’t be easily severed. Our lives are fused together now, for better or worse. Even unto death. To save us all, I’ll have to break every single one of my own rules. Starting with placing my trust in the hands of the ancient vampire who’s been holding me captive for weeks. It’s time for Azrael to face what he’s been avoiding for a thousand years: his deranged brother needs to die, and he may be the only being on this earth able to kill him.Together, the five of us will concoct a plan to end his dark crusade...

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Things are getting really interesting for our Vocari and her men by this point. Rose had to be healed after the last book and we start with her waking up after that. They all finally start working together running into quite a few bumps in the road. To make matters worse the evil twin makes an appearance and is really quite awful to say the least. Makes for some interesting developments though leading to the cliff hanger ending. The finale is going to be quite explosive! I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Grammar and spelling errors galore

Was this even proofread? Did the people doing so know the difference between to and too? It was a painful read. It also barely moved the story forward at all. It was an interlude of sex, and some mild plotting. Followed by a few revelations. This does not make it a book. This makes it boring and not worth the time it money. You could skip this entire book and still finish the series having missed nothing truly important.

Okay-ish

Ultimately, this would probably be 3 stars for me when taking into account that reverse harems aren’t really my thing. However... editing. Did ANYONE even attempt to proof read this before publishing it?

There isn’t a page that goes by without at least one error that could have been easily fixed if someone had just read it back to check. I mean, there are flat out incorrect words used in sentences, so that you then have to try to figure out what she’s actually trying to say.

That’s just incredibly sloppy. It feels a little disrespectful to the reader that even the author doesn’t take enough pride in her work to read back what she’s already written. If she won’t read it to make sure it’s working, why should I even bother?

Sooo this was a good book in the series as far as plot goes but not exactly a happy one to read. Very dark. Like this would need like a fucking page of trigger warnings tbh. Its quite...full on and harder to get through than the previous books and frankly majority of the time i was just praying the author wouldnt actually have the worst possible outcome for rose which raphael intended i knew she wouldnt get killed having main character armor but there are many things worse than death and she already experience some heinous shit so im glad at the very least she wasnt violated in the way he was intending. And im assuming that now that shes out of that vulnerable position that the element of the story is over and done with and the next book will just be annihilation of the bad guys and hea for the good guys cause damn its just a lot emotionally and jesus really had to remind myself it was a book and detach a bit to be able to read through it. Sad thing is even if this is fictional the sort of abuse and shit that goes on isnt so yeah fuck males tbh. Ive gotta take a mental break before i start the next book. Get my brain into a stronger better place and do some serious destressing so my body doesnt hold onto this flight or flight trauma type response get that out healthily and just yeah hearts feeling a bit fragie after that book. I know this sorta dhit is important in stories and i can tolerate some bs or dark back story or whatever but yeah i avoid dark books or scary gross too real ones for this reason i mean the worlds shit enough if i want to feel this level of fucked up ill watch the news. Books are for fantasy and romance and happily ever afters and people with powers and strength doing good and wishing we had that in reality. So yeah might have to go chill in instalove fated mates hea babies and community and enlightened societies stories for a while before i deep dive into another full on series.

Cover! The Cover is sexy AF. It’s so hot and strong and powerful… and that is just the beginning of the rolling tsunami of awesomeness in this installment of the series.
This one ripped me in all my tender-hearted places – Rose has this incredible presence, an amazing strength at the core of her – she’s not only the kind of woman that men want but she’s also the kind of woman that this woman wants, and admires and respects and aspires to be and would happily cheerlead for, for every day of her life!

She’s a heart that is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I had moments while reading this that I thought my heart was going to explode at her bravery and courage. I had moments where her very fascinating Rose-ness just blew my mind and I was driven to tears of pure mirth. Even the sexy times had another multifaceted layer of such incredible intimacy this time and it was overwhelmingly beautiful.

Mostly, Redeem Me was an exercise in me examining (against my very best intentions) the full spectrum of my emotions. Who knew I had so many? And, it left me raw. Sensitive. Vulnerable. And yet, still… hopeful.

Elena Lawson had a great series in hand – it was amazing already, then, she added more layers and extra depth and intrigue and excitement and turned it into something even more vital and significant. Maybe it’s my weepy heart but today, heroes feel so important.

High intensity and a bad@$$ Rose!

This book kept Rose true to her character from when she first appeared. She’s an independent and complete bad@$$. She can be reckless at times but she still tries to make smart choices or the “lesser of two evils”. She wasn’t ever a character who made dumb choices. So her kidnapping in this book wasn’t her fault at all but at the fault of one’s betrayal.

I liked how the plot line of her being captured gave us an inside view of Rafe’s world and how he lives. It’s repulsive and allows the reader to despise him despite his identical looks to Az, whom I love as a character. Rafe’s torture on Rose’s mind was well depicted I think. It highlighted her ptsd and panic attacks whenever he was around her after her time in “the box”. Her reaction to Az after her escape was genuine and realistic as well, even if it broke my heart for Az. I am glad that the author didn’t skim over that aspect of her torture and the side effects that accompanied the torture.

One thing I kept forgetting to include in my previous reviews on this series is that there is a fair amount of typos, which isn’t something I remember seeing when I read another series by this author. I think it is easily corrected with another round of edits with either an editor or a beta reader.

Wow, book 3 did not hold back! Loved it ?

Favorite audiobook of Elena's so far!! I couldn't get enough of this book and looked when book 4 was going to release and nearly cried haha. I did not want this book to end. I loved how kickbutt Rose is. I mean, she literally put herself through so much and yeah not going to spoil it for you. Just know I really jumped on the Rose train after this book. I cannot wait for Raphael to get what is coming to him. Aaaaaaand what I wanted happened with Rose and one of her harem members!! I am excited to see more, sooo excited!! And I loved the progression with Rose's blood and what it can do for vampires. I totally didnt get teary-eyed with Azrael and his super vulnerable moment.

The narration was spot on, it gets better and better with each book. I though Addison did a fabulous job with all the new characters we got to meet, especially those under Raphael's control. I think the way she created the big suspenseful and painful scene with Rose and Ethan, I totally could imagine the scene in my head. That is a sign of a great narrator and audiobook.

Highly recommend this series, this fall cannot come soon enough!! Do yourself a favor and pick up this series ❤️❤️❤️

This is book 3 of a completed series, I bought on kindle and on Audible too.

Rose is the FMC and she is just awesome - independent, fierce, kicks sooo much ass and yet broken and vulnerable too. She has had to grow and evolve so much across such a short span of time, but with 'her guys' they are stronger.

This book is much more about their higher purpose/long term goals for vampire kind. It fills in a lot of the blanks about enigma Azreal... and he is so cold, yet so hot... yet so many opportunities for more from him seem wasted (it builds to a crescendo in book 4, worth the wait, although torturous).

Turns out there is much more to Rose, her linege and the power of her will and her blood. Yet every discovery puts them all in more and more danger.

A brilliant, yet torturous build into book 4! The final of the series.

Rose takes us on a ride and a half in this 3rd instalment - redeem me is mostly rose’s story as she has to fight for herself and the life she wants for herself and others! We also see hints of where some of this of this story is heading and I can’t wait for that !!! ( wink wink) I do advise reading all 3 of this series together - I tried to pick up the story from my previous read of provoke me a few months ago but struggled remembering all the little things that help this flow! Luckily it’s an easy ask to do that !
