<br />Book 2 in OPERATION COWBOY gives us Wydell &amp; Anya. Wydell is bound and determined to fix up his hometown. Anya is looking for something to invest her money in. When her financial advisor lets her know about this little town in Texas being flatten by a tornado and how a few men are trying to rebuild it, she's in. She arrives with her Airstreamer and parks close to the site. Her &amp; Wydell cannot get along outside of the bedroom. They both want to see this town rebuilt but can't seem to agree on how to accomplish it. Sparks fly and things heat up. Great read!! This is my honest review for a book given to me by the author.

"Spurs 'n Surrender" (Operation Cowboy Book 2) by Em Petrova is a wonderful read. I loved reading Wydell and Anya's story. This story has hot cowboys, military veterans, new beginnings, humor, passion, and more. I loved catching up with Brodie, Danica, Boyd, and Garrett. Looking forward to seeing what happens next with these entertaining characters. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, hot cowboys, military, and series.

Book 2 in the Operation Cowboy shows us Wydell and Anya’s story. He wants to fix up his hometown and Any is looking for something to spend her money on and invest.<br /><br />They both want the town to succeed and grow but they both have different visions. <br /><br />With humor, cowboys, romance you can’t go wrong with this story and it is stand alone.<br /><br />Advanced copy of this book is kindly provided by author and I voluntarily reviewed.

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book This is book 2 in the series Operation Cowboy. It is a stand alone book with a wonderful HEA. I recommend this book to all hot cowboy lovers. Wydell and Anya will take you on a wonderful adventure. Happy reading.

<strong>Small Places!</strong><br /><br />Spurs 'n Surrender: Loved how even though the guys had been through a lot over the years and came home to not a lot and they still cared enough about their town to put it back together even though they didn't have a lot of money to it. It was a wonderful story great romance. I liked how Anya came in and funded the project and how she was not your typical wealthy person. I loved the attraction between Wydell and Ayna even though they have different back grounds. It was great how they but head them and up in bed and made it hot and steamy. Loved this story

I have read a few books by Em before and I always love them, this book was no different. Em’s books are always steamy and have hot men in them. This is the second book in the series but they can be read as standalone books. Wydell and his buddies grew up together and joined the military together. They came home to their hometown that had been torn up by a storm. They are trying to rebuild it. Anya inherited millions from her grandparents. Many people think that she doesn’t know what to do with the money. Her money manager shows her news footage of Wydell’s hometown. Anya knows what she wants to do with some of that money. She wants to help the town rebuild. Wydell and Anya but heads at first. He thinks she is a stuck-up debutant/beauty queen who doesn’t know anything. Anya is frustrated by Wydell and just wants to help. What doesn’t help either of them is how attracted they are to each other. Eventually their attracted combusts and they wind up in bed together. Will they be able to find a way to work together and maybe be something more? Wydell has doubts that they could have anything. After all she has so much money and he doesn’t really have anything to offer her. He is not whole from the things he saw and did during his military time. Anya wants to show Wydell that she is more than a beauty queen. She is smart and hard working. I loved this book so much and I have purchased the first book in this series to read. I can’t wait for more books in this series. This book is a roller coaster ride. I felt for both Wydell and Anya. They fight their attraction and then they both want to find a way to be together. What an amazing read. The push-pull between Wydell and Anya was fun to read.<br /><br />The is the second book in this series. We learned in the first book that 4 men returned to their hometown after serving in the military to find that their town was completely leveled by a tornado a couple weeks prior. There are only two homes left standing. This book focuses on Wydell and Garrett working on rebuilding the town hopefully to bring the people back. <br /><br />Anya was left a very large inheritance and she decides that that money should be spent on helping the town rebuild. She decides that small houses are the way to go and she is determined to make it happen. What she didn’t plan on was the grumpy Marine shooting down every idea she comes up with. She also didn’t expect the chemistry the two share.<br /><br />Reading about these two had me smiling through the whole book. One minute these two are fighting and the next minute they are in engaging in sexy times. Let’s just say Anya is one lucky girl!<br /><br />I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for book 3.<br />

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is book 2 in the series, but you do not have to read the first book before reading this one. Now, if you want to read both books, I encourage it, because they are both really good books. This book has the seriousness, but also has the laughter to balance it out. After one of their best friends is killed, Wydell and his three friends return from war to find their whole town has been demolished by a tornado, except two homes. Wydell has PTSD, but they are trying to rebuild their town. There, you have the serious. Then, Anya arrives with all her money that she inherited from her grandfather, wanting to invest in helping them rebuild. With her, the laughter arrives. The interactions between Anya and Wydell are either really funny, or very steamy, according to what is going on. It is a great story. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I highly recommend it.

What more could you want? This is a fast paced, engaging book about Wydell and Anya, who happen to be polar opposites. They definitely rub each other the wrong way when they meet. But, they can't deny the intense chemistry and attraction that exists between them. Wydell and Anya discover they are each others soft place to land.<br /><br />He has to work through his PTSD issues, and she has spent her time fighting against people thinking she is a pampered rich girl. If course, that is happening in between all of the steamy, sexy encounters they have.<br /><br />The residents of Los Vistas provide all of the friendship, family, fellowship, and love that any resident would need to heal as they work together to rebuild their town.<br /><br />I would recommend this book. Wydell is a strong and stubborn man who will melt his way into your heart in more ways than one, even when you want to smack him for being so stubborn at the same time!. He's met his match with Anya and they are perfect for each other even if neither of them want to admit to their growing feelings.<br /><br />Spurs &amp; Surrender is fast paced and HOT, but also a story with strong storylines and believable characters. This is the second in the Operation Cowboy series and can be read as a stand alone, however I think you will enjoy it more by knowing more about the secondary characters from reading the first one also.
