Stained Souls

I did enjoy this series even though the authors seemed to lose some of their steam writing the last two books of this series and were a little long-winded with some of the details, especially in the final fight also I wished they would have given us a better HEA and also more of epilogue but I won't complain because this series was really a good read. <br /><br />With that being said; The overall rating on this book and series is:<br />4*~ A Good Read.<br />

<strong>???</strong><br /><br />So the story definitely ended how I had hoped....but I still have so many unanswered questions. So. Many. <br /><br />I felt there was a kind of disconnect from the full throttle feel of the previous books to this last one. <br /><br />Marcella had way more insecurities in this book than she did in the previous four combined. <br /><br />Not to mention her guys had some pretty big issues with her/her powers and instead of discussing it, they just brushed them off because of how they feel for her...<br /><br />I also kind of felt they left many loose ends with no real satisfying conclusion to them.<br /><br />..................<br /><br />That being said, the story did in fact still have the desired outcome and it was still an enticing read. There were definitely some curve balls I didn’t see coming, but that I appreciated the twist it gave the story. Overall, I say a 4/5 star read on book 5.

Overall it’s an average series.

<strong>Kind of anticlimactic </strong><br /><br />There parts of this book that I enjoyed but a lot of it, while not terrible, had me yawning. About 50% in I was just bored and just skimmed through the rest. Of I hadn't skimmed through the rest, I don’t think I would’ve been able to finish it. The climax was anticlimactic. Everything was just so convenient and neatly fell on Marcella’s lap. The ending was just ... I don’t know. This book could have been so much more but unfortunately it just hadn’t been executed well.

Marcella, Darius, Cade, Kieran, Barclay, Raven and Gideon, otherwise known as the Maximus Brotherhood, have come to the final conclusion of the Salsang Chronicles. Along with Elizabeth and her Calvary, Lily and her Reapers, all of them must end the continuing battle for supremacy that has been waging between Merlin and the Lady of the Lake, Nimue, for thousands of years. Marcella's powers have evolved and her mates have grown in strength as they prepared for the battle royale about to happen. Whether they will have what it takes to defeat the forces battling against them will depend on if they can all join together and vanquish the evil dark and light forces. This is going to be one epic clash of powers!

<strong>A finally HEA ending</strong><br /><br />It’s been a long time coming but the series is finally at a close. The baddies defeated and Marcella and her mates might be able to sit back and have one boring day…..maybe. There wasn’t so much mate action in this book which was a little sad, a nice long epilogue filled with sex and boredom would have been nice to see but it was a satisfactory conclusion. I would like to see Elizabeth get her HEA but at least we know that Lily got hers.

<strong>A fun conclusion </strong><br /><br />The books need to be read in order to be followed and truly enjoyed. This is book 5. The female lead (this is reverse harem 1 she 5 he’s) grows exponentially and we see some background into supporting characters through smaller chapters from their point of view throughout the novels. The mythos of the storyline is unique and there are plenty of side line sub plots to be explored later.

<strong>Complete series review.. </strong><br /><br />What a great series! It was full of action and loved the whole Merlin and the knights. The MC was pretty strong but hard to love lol.. as much as I loved the series the ending kind of fell flat for me.. but all in all the 5 part series was a great read that kept me on the edge of my seat.

<strong>Love Love Love this Series!</strong><br /><br />Perfect conclusion to this series. I seriously adored every word throughout this entire series. The characters and plot and literally every entertaining detail from start to finish. Definitely worth reading!

I downloaded Stained Souls, book 5 of the Salsang Chronicles, as a Kindle Unlimited ebook from Amazon. Okay, so I saw some of this storyline coming, but it was the layered sub-plots and twists that made this such an excellent story. Really well done with a satisfying ending.
