**SPOILER ALERT**
I am reviewing this book for the author and this is my brutality honest review.
There were parts I liked? and parts I down right hated?!
Jenny marrying Jason-HUGE MISTAKE! (hated)
Adam begging for another chance-I am on the fence about that?
The story about their young friend and her death was good?. Not that someone dying was good but you know what I mean. I liked the twists and turns of that and honestly I didn't see the killer at all. Star and her "friend" finally, possibly, maybe, putting a label on their relationship is HUGE and I really hope it works out. It will be very interesting to see where this story goes next.

What happened?????

This is the most awful twist I’ve ever found in a series! We are left at the wedding of Jenny’s dreams.... I thought Adam had been hurt or something....left HANGING. Then next one starts MONTHS LATER AND Jenny is married to Jason who she describes as her best friend. Lost me here.

Another winner

I just finished all 9 books and loved 8 of them .I was shocked she married Jason when she is clearly in love with Adam. I hope there will be another book to bring her and Adam back together. Jason. Is a greAt character just not the right man.

What a great book after the surprise ending of book 8! I was happy with the way the author resolved the upheaval in Jenny's life. ?Life continues on for Jenny and the cafe with her friends that are dubbed the Magnolias. This time they actually take a little break from work and do a getaway trip with some much younger friends including Isabella Worthington. Bella is the daughter of a very wealthy man and they are descendants from original settlers on the island. She is generous, friendly, and well liked around town. When she dies in a car accident after a party, the whole town is shocked. Only Jenny is self propelled into solving what really happened to Bella.. Was it murder? When death finds other victims, Jenny has to dig deeper and faster to figure things out. She takes Heather along on her sleuthing, but Heather strikes me as especially childish and rude in this book. That is offset by Jason's cheerfulness and baby Emily's presence in her life.

The author has done a good job of keeping Pelican Cove a small town in many ways, with people knowing what Jenny is doing as well as frequently having new information to share with her. She has introduced neighbors of main characters, giving us a real feel of community. Of course there is mention of the ever present festival, tourists, and the somewhat abrasive Mayor Barb!

Pelican Cove has become almost real to the readers who have read all the stories. It is a wonderful place to visit, and I recommend you pay them a visit and read this terrific entry, Sundaes and Sinners. There is a teaser near the end to make one think about what might happen next. If you are new to the series, you might want to start at the beginning and explore everything that has happened in Pelican Cove before this book. Either way, happy reading!

Ooooo! Now he wants to get married!

Terrific. A plot that is bound to please with the emotion that is behind it. Well thought out and the characters have really taken on a life of their own.
A young heiress dies and all her compatriots come under scrutiny. Was it the drunk driver, who was not only trying to emulate the young woman's style but resented the fact that her former boyfriend was now engaged to her hero (although she had received some fairly serious injuries in the crash)? Was the new fiance just after her money? Was it the stalker nerdy who had a shrine to her in his bedroom? Was it the jealous cousin who switched on her at every turn? Was it the cousin's boyfriend whose family has a long running feud with her? Was it the autocratic father? Was it her BFF? Or was it something that they still had to uncover? Now married to Jason (thought I missed a book somewhere when I first read that) she really can't share her findings with Adam. Even though Heather is blatantly trying to get them together. Can she spots the killer now that a second death has occurred? Then to really throw a spanner in the works Adam wants her to get an annulment and marry him!

When popular teen heiress Isabella Worthington is killed, it puts the town of Pelican Cove in a state of shock and grief. Jenny and the Magnolias are just beside themselves and can’t believe the vibrant and well-loved girl is no longer with them. When a teen comes forward and says the tragic car crash was not an accident but a murder, Jenny decides to get involved and find out what really happened to Isabella.

What I love most about this cozy mystery series is that the author writes very strong, intelligent, and vibrant female characters who are supportive of one another. They are not dizzy ladies that stumble upon murders and through dumb luck discover the murderer. From the main character Jenny through the supporting characters (the Magnolias), both together and independently they sort through red herrings, lying suspects, stubborn witnesses, and mastermind murders to solve the case. Along the way, you get a bit of romance, a touch of humor, and lot of bonding moments (with food).
Two young people in Pelican Cove are in a car accident causing the death of the popular, rich and generous Bella Worthington. The town is shocked and another kid ,Calvin starts "kicking up a storm" suggesting it was murder. Jenny and her friend Heather are soon trying to figure out what exactly happened and find themselves with plenty of suspects who wanted Bella dead. The mystery portion of the story shines as does the references to food. I find it frustrating that we are always left with a cliffhanger in regard to Jenny's personal life. I love the continuity of the people in Pelican Cove and feel there's enough interest in these characters (example Star and Jimmy's relationship, will Heather ever get married) for this to be necessary. I would still recommend reading this cozy, fun mystery-I think you'll fall in love with Pelican Cove.

The most popular girl in school, Isabella Worthington, is a millionaire teenager. She is one that really didn't let it go to her head, she instead helped out her friends. When news comes to Pelican Cove that she was killed in a car crash, everyone is shocked! There are a few people that don't believe it was an accident, it was murder and they want Jenny to look into it. Isabella's father is a real 'piece of work' and not very helpful. Jenny talks with all of Isabella's friends including the girl who was hurt terribly in the car accident with Isabella. The more Jenny looks into things, the more she sees that not all of Isabella's 'friends' were actually friends. Can she find out what actually happened without the help of the sheriff's office? After all, being left at the altar by the sheriff does leave a bad taste in your mouth. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.

Isabella Worthington, a teen millionaire heiress is killed in a car accident. Bella didn't think she was better than other people. She often helped her friends when they needed something. Some people didn't believe it was an accident. They think she was murdered and have asked Jenny to look into it. The story is filled with red herrings, twists and turns. It is also time for the Spring Festival and Jenny has to prepare for her booth.
Get a copy and come along with Jenny. Find out how she goes about figuring out what really happened to Bella. What's going on between Star and her friend? Very well written with a well thought out plot and fleshed out characters.
I voluntarily received a book and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

Spoiler alert: At first I felt cheated about Jenny's wedding. I was glad it was explained later, but I was left with questions. How did Adam's daughters react?
A young woman Bella that the Magnolia ladies know was tragically killed in a car accident. A friend of Bella's asked Jenny to investigate as he thinks Bella was murdered.
This time Jenny has to do the investigating on her own without asking Adam for information. She has yet to see or confront him since he did not show up for their wedding.
This book didn't flow as well as some of the others, but I still enjoyed it.
