Man angst, yes, man angst and it is brought to you by Shannyn Leah in Sunset Sail. Don’t think I am making fun of a man filled with angst, because Grayson has earned every bit of his, and then some. His bride cheated on him with the one man he should be able to trust and believe in, no matter what and it was only three days after they married. No wonder he has become a manwhore, no emotions, just wild and crazy sex and poof, his partners are gone, no muss, no fuss. And then, his Kryptonite walked on board the maiden voyage of the family cruise line.

Emma has a reputation of being brilliant, serious, standoffish and maybe a little frigid. Grayson wants her, not forever but for a night or two, because he never does commitments, ever. When friendly banter takes on a sexual undertone, Grayson is about to learn that Emma pulls no punches, she has a tongue as sharp as a dagger and her aim is often too true. So why won’t he be honest and admit he has feelings for Emma? She is the first true “friend” Grayson has ever had, but he can see her heart is getting involved and he is positive she deserves better than him. So, what is the answer? Will he do his usual hit and run, leaving Emma shattered or is she even stronger than he is, possibly turning the tables on him?

Love, crazy love, and Shannyn Leah is serving up another hot dish of Caliendo passion as one more Caliendo takes the Love Boat to turmoil, drama and sizzling, sensual heat. Moments of humor, moments of fun and moments of high energy tension as two people find that the merger of their respective companies is nothing compared to the merger of their hearts.

I received an ARC edition from Shannyn Leah in exchange for my honest review.

Series: The Caliendo Resort - Book 3
Publisher: Carlex Ruby Press; 1 edition (June 28, 2016)
Publication Date: June 28, 2016
ISBN-13: 9781533184375
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Print Length: 300 pages
Available from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble
For Reviews & More: http://tometender.blogspot.com

Sunset Sail is the third book in the Caliendo Resort series. The resort has been working on a merger with the Cohen Cruise line and there is a three week cruise to finalize things. You will love the heat, passion and the combustion of these two people. The Caliendo's are a great family with siblings that protect each other and challenge each other and mostly love one another. If you haven't started the series, you can pick it up here and then get caught up later. But you should get to know them.

Emma Caliendo is known to be set in her ways and clear about who she wants to stay clear of. Especially when he is a womanizer and a tease. He keeps teasing her about them making magic together but she is very leery of the reputation that Grayson has. When she finds out more about the real Grayson Cohen, she finds herself more tempted than she ever imagined.

I love the humor that Shannon Leah meshes into her really sizzling stories. She makes the characters more alive and she makes me want to really get to know them and hang out with them. I have enjoyed all the stories in both series. They have been showing up since the beginning and teasing us to know more about them. I was glad to see Emma get her story told. What a great book it is. This is another winning book. Deserving the 5 stars that I am capped at giving, I could have happily gone much higher.

I absolutely loved Emma's character. Classy, funny and not afraid to speak her mind. This story was very cute and even though at first I didn't care much for Grayson. I warned to him halfway through the story. Great story.

I really enjoyed this “sort of” enemies to lovers story!

Emma is not a fan of Grayson. He’s a complete womanizer and she intends to ignore him completely on the cruise she’s been forced to attend as her family and his go into a merger. What she’s not prepared for is his witty nature and his warm charm or the way her heart and body react to him.

Grayson has a past that is steeped in deception. He will never give his heart to a woman. Yet, when the opportunity to have a friends-with-benefits cruise affair with Emma presents itself, he throws himself completely into it. As long as Emma doesn’t allow her feelings to get involved, everything will be fine and they will go their separate ways at the end of the cruise.

I totally understood Emma’s judgement of Grayson as that was the only persona he presented to the world. But I cheered as she began to open herself to the possibility that there was so much more to him than what was on the surface. Grayson had a lot, a LOT, to overcome and my heart hurt for him and for the sucky hand he had been dealt.

There’s a lot of family drama here along with some other woman drama as well. The writing has a very nice pace and it never felt bogged down. The steam factor is mild and is fade to black. Secondary characters shine and truly add to the total enjoyment of the story. I would have liked a nice epilogue but as the series continues I’m hoping we get a further glance at how this couple manage to make a relationship on land work for them.

Altogether, a very nice read that isn’t heavy with angst but has just enough to keep the story moving.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dual POV
Safe <input type="checkbox" class="spoiler__control" aria-label="The following text has been marked spoiler. 5 Star Review
Sunset Sail is the 3rd book in The Caliendo Resort Series and I have to say its my favourite. Its set on the high seas on a 3 week business/ holiday cruise. This story has romance, a manwhore, a sassy girl and friends and siblings who only want only the best for each other plus its full of humor at times I laughed till I cried especially at the "Naughty Bingo".
This is the perfect summer beach read or the perfect curled up around a fire read. I was hooked from the first to the last page and cant wait for more from Shannyn Leah

As one of the middle children in a family of six siblings, it’s easy for Emma to stay out of the spotlight and let the world see her as the nerdy, bookish, goody-two-shoes she willingly portrays, rather than a business woman in her family's luxury resort. Grayson Cohen, of the Cohen Cruise Lines Cohen’s, is the guy with his face gracing billboards and a different woman on his arm each night. Dear arrogant, egotistical, shallow, playboy Grayson. Or maybe that’s the façade he shows to the world in order to keep safely hidden the broken hearted little boy who lost his mother when he was far too young.

Grayson and Emma have a love/hate relationship. He loves to needle her and get under her skin, and she hates to even give him the time of day unless it's in the form of a verbal smack down to put him in his place. With the Caliendos and Cohens considering a business partnership and spending three weeks together at sea, Grayson and Emma will be in each other's company far more than usual. But when Grayson allows himself to be friends with Emma, something he’s never done with anyone before, she has a way of sneaking inside and filling up his empty places.

I’ve said it before, soap operas and telenovelas have nothing on these Caliendos, and now we can include the Cohens in that statement, as well. It’s pretty much a given that any book that features the Calliendos will be a romping great read, but this one is a little heavier on heartfelt and a little lighter on shenanigans than the other books. Of course, anytime Izzy shows up, there are guaranteed outrageous comments that will have you laughing out loud, but there was just something about Grayson's character that took this book to a deeper level.

It was quickly apparent there was something more to Grayson than what he portrayed to the world, and Emma was astute enough to see behind his mask. Emma was a fantastic character and I loved watching the journey to forever with these two. Yes, they had great chemistry, but they also brought out the best in each other. It wasn’t an easy journey, by any means, but Emma had a way of cutting through the betrayal and pain in Grayson's past, confronting the demons head-on, and facilitating the healing Grayson and his family so desperately needed. The series wouldn’t be complete without Emma's story, and I think this book with its humor, steam and boatload of heart is my favorite so far.

*I reviewed this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.

And here I thought the Caliendo family was dysfunctional! When Emma embarks on a cruise to solidify the business merger between the Cohens and the Caliendos, she is determined to stay away from Grayson Cohen if at all possible. His reputation as a playboy is not something that Emma wants to deal with but the best laid plans quickly go awry! Before you know it Emma is proposing a friends with benefits scenario that also goes awry.
This was a fun contemporary romance in the Caliendo Resorts series that can definitely be read as a stand alone novel. I really enjoyed how outspoken Emma was even though she is the Caliendo sibling that is always more comfortable in the background. Apparently she just needed a reason to speak up, namely Grayson Cohen. Seems like a pretty good reason to me!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

This might be the third book in the series but for me this is my favourite so far and that takes some doing because the others have been sitting pretty high up the pecking order.
The resort is all set to move on to bigger and better things, their merger is going ahead and they’re all beginning to get their heads around what exactly that is going to mean for them. This is a family that don’t leave anything to chance. They have it all sown up and that is just the way they like it.
So in order to finalise all the terms and conditions between themselves and Cohen Cruise Line there is a little bit of schmoozing to be under taken. Now if I was offered a three-week cruise as part of my families upcoming fabulous business deal you would have to nail me down because I would be shimming my a** aboard that ship before you could bat an eyelid…but Emma Caliendo isn’t me and she has other things on her mind. Namely how to avoid Grayson Cohen and his womanising ways.
I like Emma and her family, I like the way they are so tight together, so connected, they are what you would want the perfect book family to be but Grayson could very well throw a spanner in Emma’s carefully laid out plans, he has the ability to addle her brain and she knows it and that is a feeling that she is not coping with that at all because Emma is firmly entrenched in her ways, everyone knows she likes things done a certain way and she has buttons that you just don’t want to push, but knowing her limitations and tolerance means nothing when she is struggling to keep her burgeoning desire for the delicious Grayson at bay.
Temptation is a b*tch but Grayson has it down to an art form. But I almost forgave him because he had a fairly unequivocal reason for being the way he was. He was hurt in the most painful of waysbeing on the receiving end of a cheating spouse is horrific but when the ink on your marriage certificate is barely dry, it adds additional angst to an already raw wound, so it was no surprise that still reeling after his heartache, he wrapped his heart up so tight and unleashed is man**ore, with a new found commitment to a lack of commitment, he went through women like a duck through water…wham, bam thank you mam and don’t let the door get you on the a** on your way out!
But Grayson has an Achilles heel, a woman that could bring him to his knees…Emma so when she set foot on the ship, this trip took on a whole new perspective. While he might not be looking for a woman to warm his bed for the rest of his life, there certainly were plenty of evenings on board that he would be delighted to keep her company. Surely one or two nights was perfectly within reason?
Emma was a feisty, devil of a woman who was perfectly comfortable in a man’s world and while she was as sharp as a tack, she used her no nonsense attitude as a barrier that screamed to everyone to stay well back. But Grayson pushes her buttons, he is able to engage her in what turns pretty quickly into sexy banter.
I liked the fact they challenged each other, I knew where this was going but the destination wasn’t what I was looking forward too…it was what they were going to have to go through to get there that appealed to me.
Grayson knew what he was going to have to deal with, Emma wasn’t going to make it easy on him but would he make it easy on himself?
Would he see that he deserved to be happy and that Emma could be the woman that he could find that happiness with or would he continue to self-deprecate and allow his past to destroy his future?
Or will she beat him to the punch?
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

(This book was reviewed by Cathy Stansell from Rochelle's Reviews)

The Caliendo resort and the Cohen cruise line are merging. The final preparations are going to be made on this three week cruise. This is an exciting and changing time for these families (the Caliendo's and Cohen's) to finalize it all.

In Sunset Sail (Grayson and Emma's story), Grayson is a playboy and therefore Emma wants to avoid him as much as possible. He has his reasons for being a playboy and I actually understood why he was. He is not going to take a chance and let another love hurt him. So he gets close enough to get what he wants and then it is goodbye.
Emma, on the other hand, is a little devilish in her ways but she knows what she wants and it is anything but a womanizer like Grayson. Still, he has his little ways of getting to her even when she tries to ignore him. Unfortunately (or should I say... fortunately) he is persistent and patient and he just keeps on. The two are so good together first as friends all the way to lovers in the span of a short 3 weeks.

Shannyn Leah is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She makes you fall in love with the characters because they are realistic in their flaws. I already love this family from the first two books in this series. They are an extremely close knit group. They make you cry, laugh because of the crazy things they do. Dirty Bingo anyone?
