That cliffy in the previous book had me one clicking this like there was no tomorrow!! I need to know IF these two are going to resolve things!!

(just a warning, this review contains spoilers for the previous book)

The truth is that I enjoyed this book a lot for the most part but a had a HUGE problem with one thing in its plot.

It's obvious that Ace and Remi have chemistry there's no doubt about that but, let's face it, they were a bit toxic together. Even Ace thought that:

"[...] the way I feel about you isn't healthy."

The thing is, as I said in my review for Taunt Her, I loved that Remi had a backbone and that's what saved the day for me. Even though she loved Ace she didn't immediately go back to him. She made him to tell her everything and she forced her rules. It's just thing about fiesty and independent heroines that I love...

Ace has to realize I don’t need saving. I don’t want a bodyguard to fight my battles. I want a partner. An equal. I want someone to stand at my side and fight with me.

Yes girl!!! ??

Ace tried to make everything right for her, he even found a new job to make money (thankfully, legally this time...) and he regretted what he did even though it was not entirely his fault that eveyone saw that video (well, it was his fault to take that video in the first place but I'll talk about that later...). I liked that he tried to change, not because Remi wanted that for him but because he wanted to be a better man.

Let me talk about the plot now (it could contain spoilers). The whole thing about the revelation of who is Ace's father didn't impress me, like at all. I thought it was totally obvious who their father was after reading the first book. Was that supposed to be a plot twist? Am I the only one who guessed that? Although, I must say that I didn't expect the plot twist in the end so that's a plus.

Having said all these, you'd expect me to give this book a higher rating and I totally would because for the most part this was a 4-star read for me (it could have been even a 5-star if there wasn't that non-plot twist). The thing that made me lower my rating is the way Ace decided to take revenge for what Michaela did to Remi. It's not okay to take revenge by showing everyone a video of a naked girl. I don't care that Michaela did the same thing to Remi (which, of course was also unacceptable), I don't care if Michaela is the worst fictional character ever, I don't care if that was Ace's way to get revenge. It's just something I can't accept. Ace should had never taken both this video and Remi's, let alone showing to everyone at a school event (just like Michaela shouldn't show Remi's video at her party). I know that it's just fiction, a book I came across by chance, but it made me really mad.

I'm really interested in reading Cole's story (and Conner's of course but I have a feeling that I'm going to fall too hard for Cole) but I'm going to wait for a little bit more.

Just a note, if you want to read the scene from the night in the pool house from Hadley’s pov there's a link at the end of this book's epilogue (warning, it's ?).

(random quote I loved and wanted to share with you)

"Family can be hard. But at the end of the day, they’ll be the ones who are there in your darkest hour. Trust that they’re doing the right thing, whatever it may be.”

Told in dual perspectives , this is the conclusion of Ace and Remi's story!

This book was everything I expected and so much more! From the moment I read the first book of this series , and that amazing cliffhanger, this book had been one of most anticipated books! Remi and Ace have a special place in my heart now, and even though their story has come to an end , I still want to see much more of them in the future!

Ace was an asshole to Remi in the whole first book , but man he really took the cake at the end of that book. Now Remi is broken and he realises his mistakes a little too late. I just hoped that he pulled his head out of his ass and got Remi to forgive him. The storyline of this book was pretty good and I absolutely loved the ending! I can't wait for the best set of books in this series!! A definite recommendation to all the Bully Romance lovers out there!

Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Bookbub | My Blog

I was chomping at the bit for the book after that hell of a cliffhanger in book one. So glad it was basically a back to back release. Ace and Remi are in for a hell of a time in this book. Remi and Ace always deliver some good steam and Remi did a 180 in this book to try and prove himself worthy of Remi.

I did wish she made him grovel a bit more she forgave him really quickly for his offense. There is also an event that happens in this book to Remis step-sister that I had issues with because it was a bit too slut-shaming and women against women isn’t my thing and it smacked a little too close to that for my tastes. Ace is a dichotomy of just idiot decisions and the genuine desire to just do right by Remi. But man did I want to punch his face in when he did that.

I loved how fierce Remi always is in defense of Ace. She’s just a force to be reckoned with when someone impugns his character. I liked the ending and it definitely fit in with the way the series is heading and I am curious for the brothers stories. I have a feeling that the series is going to just get better from here.

Actual rating would be a 3.5 ⭐️

We both cry out as he stretches me. “Jesus,” he chokes out. “It feels... God...” My legs anchor around his hips, urging him to move, and he does. Strong, powerful strokes that I feel all the way down to the tips of my toes. Ace curves his hand around my throat, pinning me to the mattress. He’s everywhere. His tongue pushed deep in my mouth, his big body pressed up against me as he grinds into me, filling me with every thrust. My hands fight against his hold, desperate to touch him, to feel his muscles ripple beneath my fingers, but it only makes him go harder. Faster. Until I can barely breathe and my vision starts to blur. He isn’t making love to me. He isn’t fucking me. He’s branding himself on my soul, carving his name permanently on my heart. “Ace, it’s too much,” I whimper, completely overwhelmed by the sensations he’s unleashing on me. “Ssh, baby.” His mouth is at my ear, his words a hot growl. “I’ve got you.” He releases my hands, letting me grip his shoulders as he begins to ride me slower, deeper, until I don’t know where I end and he begins. My legs fall to the mattress, letting his pelvis bump against my clit, sending bursts of pleasure racking through me. “You feel so fucking good.” He murmurs the words, painting them onto my lips with his tongue. Our kisses grow frenzied. Hot, wet, dirty kisses as we both race toward the edge. “You ready to come for me, Princess?” I mewl some inaudible reply, my heart hammering inside my chest as Ace hooks his arm underneath my thigh and grinds into me at a new angle. “Fuck... Fuck...” I chant like a girl possessed, a girl ready to sacrifice herself for the cause. “I’m close,” he rasps, “I’m so fucking close.” Without warning, Ace pinches my clit hard and my orgasm hits, my pussy convulsing around him as he continues to pump inside me.

FINAL THOUGHTS on TAME HIM by Caitlyn Dare
I loved Ace and Remi’s story but...I’m extremely interested in Cole and Hadley.
I need to get in his bed - I mean head! I was really excited for this release because I enjoyed the first book so much. Unfortunately this book was a major disappointment for me and I couldn't even force myself to fully finish it which doesn't happen often. DNF at 50%.

So after the cliffhanger from the first book I was expecting that Ace was finally the one that had to fight for their relationship and I was particularly excited for that part - to see him really work his ass off to get Remi back and her being strong and not giving in so fast. Well.. when they meet up for the second time after the accident, after having two super short talks, Remi forgives him right away and wants to have sex with him that same night. Girl, do you have no selfrespect whatsoever? What a huge disappointment! Her inner monologue to explain her lack of a backbone goes like this "I know no one will understand why I've forgiven him so easily, but sometimes love makes no sense. It doesn't come with a set of predefined rules or a playbook. It's messy and raw and chaotic." etc.. Seriously?! I don't even have words. So this is the major reason why this book didn't work for me and at that point I had to force myself to keep reading (and this is only at the ~30% mark of the book ladies and gentlemen).

Another thing that bothered me with this situation was that she forgave Ace within 3 seconds but hates Bexley because of what happened and thinks the whole accident is pretty much only his fault anyway. Uhm.. if I remember correctly Bexley wanted to punch Ace because he heard the video playing and was basically offened by it on her behalf. And then she stepped between them to save Ace. So clearly the fact that he punched her instead was not intened on his part?? Make it make sense. But anyway.. that's just a side note.

In the first book we learn that Ace's father isn't his real father apparently. When I read that, I already knew what the "major twist/secret" is going to be.. and of course that is exactly what is revealed in the middle of this book. It was very predictable and not surprising at all.. At that point I couldn't keep going and gave up.

I will say I generally like the author's writing style and rated the first book 4 stars so I would probably pick up another book by her in the future and give it a try. Sadly this one just wasn't for me.

Holy smokes! What a freaking rollercoaster ride this second book was! Nonstop action and romance from page 1. I just can’t believe it took me this long to read any of Caitlyn Dare’s books. Can I say how excited and happy this second book made me! And I hear there’s a 3rd book coming out this year? I’m so giddy right now.

This book I am definitely giving 5 stars! It was just so good from the very beginning. They all say that second books don’t compare to the first book, but I genuinely preferred the second book to the first in this series. We get to see a whole new and much gentler side to Ace and he shows how much he loves Remi. I could not put this book down. I didn’t want it to end at all. I’m so sad it ended but I’m happy with their HEA though.

This is a must read Bully romance.

Thank you to the author for this e-arc sent to me for my honest opinion.

Glad the couple didn’t take the whole book to make up. But the plot was a little disjointed and weird.
