***4.75 Stars***

I am in shock. I think this book far surpasses books one and two in this series and don't get me wrong...the first two were okay. But, this one was super. I really wanted to read about Francesco and learn more about why he was the way he was and if he was as bad as Pepe and Luca believed. I just knew he wouldn't be as bad as he was portrayed.

This is a safe read...thank you Michelle Smart. No cheating, No exes. No o/m or o/w drama. It was a pleasure. Francesco had been a big womanizer but when he found out the whole truth about his father's dealings, abuse, and infidelity he completely gave up the womanizing lifestyle. Upon meeting the heroine he has been celibate for ten-months. He was determined to be a different man, a better man than his father.

The heroine, Hannah, is a twenty-seven-year-old doctor who lived a very sheltered life with her entire focus on her patients. She was a very sweet young woman who had lost her twin sister fifteen years ago at the age of twelve. Her twin had contracted menangitis and was misdiagnosed, dying one day later. It affected Hannah far beyond what was normal. She stopped living life because she felt if her sister had stopped living then so should she. She has never dated and remains a virgin. She doesn't go out and because she closed herself off in her bedroom to study since the tragic death she is very socially awkward. I guess you could say she is the complete opposite of our hero, Francesco.

This is a great love story between two unlikely people who bring out the absolute best in each other. I loved it and am placing it on my reread list.

4.5 stars and review on second read...

My sloth is here so I'll point you to StMargaret's and AvidReader's reviews and add a couple of things.

Now, this is the kind of H I would like to read in a secret baby plot but apparently he knows how to use protection...
I loved the h, part of it was the novelty that she wasn't vain nor was she overly insecure in her beauty, she just didn't care if she was beautiful enough for the gorgeous H.
I loved their discussion of his previous women, specially his outrage at being called man slut or some other word for that effect.

This was the last novel in a three-part series with a great opening scene. I think I liked this one the best because it flipped a lot of tropes. The heroine instantly smitten. The one night stand because the heroine wanted it, and then she was the one who didn't want to further the relationship. The phone and job addiction was the heroine's not the hero's, etc . . . It had been awhile since I read the first book, so I didn't have any strong feelings about the hero's dubious past. But MS did a good job reminding the reader that our lady doctor was playing with fire, thus upping the tension and the stakes.

This is one of those books which gives you contentment after finishing.
It was such a refreshing story from usual HP that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
First of all heroine chased hero in the beginning and he wasn’t an A-hole to her. He was kind and honorable eventhough he had mafia background.

The second thing that made it refreshing from usual repetitive HP romance was after their deal was over heroine stubbornly sticked to their initial plan. She refused to see him again to his great frustration.Still he pursued and hurricaned to her life. It was also fun to watch him being jealous over her attachment to her phone.

Both of their past had profound affect on them and which made their behavior and actions more realistic. Which also made their need for each other more sharp, emotionally than physically. I loved how the heroine mended her broken-heart over her twin sister’s death with hero’s help. It especially touched me he was the reason she started living again, moreover, the reason she reached out to her family again. And he realized his love for her surpasses his need for revenge.

Then the final thing which appealed to me was no exes drama. No wannabe/wouldbe/onetime ow-om drama. Infact hero was celibate for quite sometime and his relationship with heroine was very different from the beginning itself. And ( I personally like to thank the author for this one) no unnecessary remark about his past conquests and prowess.
Epilogue was fantastic.

I would happily recommend this book.

4.5 stars...
It's been a long time since I read the first 2 books in this series and am tempted to reread them just to refresh my memory, but lordy do I have tons of new books to read.
I am so glad that I gave this author another chance after her first HP bombed in a big way for me,she is becoming an author that I look forward to reading .
To quickly sum it up...these 2 meet when the heroine pediatrician gets rundown by a hit and run driver and our motorcycle riding Sicilian nightclub owner who is also a deceased mob boss's son is her rescuer.
Weeks later, the heroine goes to his nightclub to thank him with a card and flowers and from here on their journey begins.
Enjoyed this story and this couple.

Our hero Francesco who is a gangster meets doctor Hannah after she's knocked down by a passing car. Hannah is charmed by her mysterious rescuer and plans to seduce him and relieve her of her virginity.

Heroine is a very dedicated doctor a professional whose life is all about her job. She doesn't want a relationship with Francesco so while he passionately pursues her she rejects him again and again.

I adore virginal soft heroines but Hannah was so cold and ruthless I couldn't relate to her. She totally emasculated the hero! He was so weak and pathetic a real wimp! I was like if this man is a gangster them I am Mickey Mouse.

"Taming the Notorious Sicilian" is the story of Hannah and Francesco.

A super sweet love story between a big bad wolf hero, who accidentally meets the heroine and their life changes. He is the ruthless casino owner hell bent on revenge, she is the hardworking doctor ignoring the world around her. He rescues her after a hit and run, and she thanks him with all her heart. They meet again, and the heroine requests one night of happiness. The hero reluctantly agrees, trying to scare her away, but the heroine finds her way into his heart. After minimal drama, they have their HEA.

I really enjoyed this book. The hero was kind, the heroine relatable. I loved the whole phone angle, that is literally what I do all the time! The sister feels were so heartwarming.

Safe
4.25/5

Decent story. The third of a trilogy. They were both pretty nice and they got together without major fireworks or angst. The end.

Book 3... where the thug gets his HEA. His first reaction in most business settings isn’t good, even after going legit.

I wasn't expecting to like this story so much! I mean I was prepared for a really nice, cute story fit for reading while you sit in the waiting room, trying to beat your fear for dentists. Me not expecting so much from it, it's also due to the fact that I've seen a bad review and two bad ratings. I am glad I'm that person who even if she knows from others that something it's not worth it, she prefers to give it a try and experience it firsthand.
I am obviously not sorry for reading this ! It's refreshing to see a Harlequin romance in which the hero is actually the son of a big sicilian gangster. The H is hot, like really hot and he also has some demons which are conquered slowly by the heroine.
She comes in his life almost like a gift from the fates. The heroine only existed until her encounter with the H. She was like this empty shell and he made her want to live.
I love how the author portraits their sizzling attraction, you don't feel like these two characters are forced into their attraction ( in some books that's how it looks like). These two completed each other, they are so different and yet so alike.
The story didn't feel rushed and everything came into place scene by scene, exactly at the right moment. Also, this story deals with complex emotions and we can also learn something from it. We learn that even if we hide inside us for years, even if we swim in pain, sadness, hatred and revenge, we need to allow ourselves to be happy, we need to stop pushing people from our lives, we need to let people and life in and we need to stop existing and start living.
I can't even remember the last time when I've actually took my time to write a review for a Harlequin romance, meaning I usually read them, love them, then give them a high rating and that's it, but I wanted to give this one a review because it's my first from this author and also because I feel that the ratings for this book should be higher!
