This was a great book and I fell in love with Trisha and Perry. Talk about opposites, she's a vet who is caring and sweet. He's ex-military who lost his leg and is suffering from PTSD so he's gruff, awkward and his emotions are all over the place. They really are perfect for each other but there's the constant rivalry from Nathan. This book was a joy to read and it kept me guessing with all the surprises and twists. Emotional and heartwarming. The characters were complex and had a lot of depth. Well written and I read as an arc and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I loved how well the author has created characters that you can feel their connection from the start and the storyline flowed smoothly making it one you can sink your teeth into.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my first time reading a romance by Jenna Gunn.

When I saw the cover (which by the way was not the hot hunk that appears here, but a couple staring at each other) I was already drawn to it. When I read the blurb I couldn’t wait to start reading it!

“Why do the only two bachelors in this small town have to be TROUBLE? How did I attract both of them? And now they have the nerve to think they can boss me around? “

This is Perry and Trisha love story.
Trisha is a vet in a small town and Perry is a ex-military that moved to the small town where Trish lives and works, so he could be at peace, but still close enough to his parents.
Perry is battling PTSD and has a hard time trusting people or even understanding that a woman could be interested in him after his accident.
It’s beautiful to see how Trish’s love is going to make a broken man feel confident and whole again.

This narrative is even more interesting due to the fact that Nathan is in the mix! The guy is crazy. Like restraining shirt, cushion room crazy! And he thinks Trish is his property....

Loved this romance. It’s sweet and funny and has a little bit of drama and steaminess to make it a book you won’t want to put down.

There was only some typos and two times the chapter announces one of the characters POV and it’s the other. Hopefully the author can correct those.

ARC kindly provided by the author.

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions for me and it was an AMAZING ride!! The Neighbor Wars is my first read by Jenna Gunn and I. Am. Addicted. I loved it so much. The writing, the characters, the emotions, the humor, the drama, the detail it was ALL absolutely spectacular!!

Trisha is a strong, independent, caring, animal loving, southern girl who will give you a piece of her mind if you step out of line. I found her to be a positively aspiring heroine. Perry is a closed off, gruff, yet kind, gentle, awkward, (honestly his awkwardness made him so damn cute) ex military man who is struggling with his time overseas. He’s trying to deal with his life being completely altered and overcoming horrific events from his past. My heart broke for him so many times. His dog Apple is his rock and so stinkin smart! She was such an important part of the book and it showed just how important animals/service animals truly can be. Derek is Perry’s friend from the military and He. Is. Adorable! Just wanted to say that because seriously I think I might be in love with him.

On a more serious note, I just wanted to say that I thought Jenna’s attention to detail and the way that she handled the topic of PTSD and military injuries was very impressive. I don’t have any personal experience with either, I certainly wasn’t oblivious to the fact that these are real issues, in regards to the PTSD in particular I found myself walking away with a better understanding of what just a small part of PTSD is. I always enjoy when I can come away from a book with some enlightenment, and for that I want to say thank you to Jenna.

I can’t recommend this book enough, it really was such an enjoyable read and had so many elements to it that i wasn’t expected, I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, I already pre-ordered it! You won’t regret reading this book, it is unquestionably worth the read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Perry is an army veteran was injured in Afghanistan and has a prosthetic on h leg below the knee and suffer from PTSD since he left the service less than a year ago. He got a dog, Apple, a month ago and moved to a small town. Trisha is the vet in town and Perry’s neighbor. Apple escaped from Perry’s house and ended up at Trisha’s house with no collar. When Perry picked him up from her clinic she berated him for being an irresponsible dog owner not knowing that Apple was pending the closed doors and escaping from her collar. However when they met one evening at a bar they ended up going home together and having sex but the next day she was shocked to see the prosthetic and he was uncomfortable with her staring so she left. In the meantime she got went on a date with a client who became possessive and jealous even though she had no feelings for him and he started harassing her. Perry ended up having to protect her by fighting with the guy. Will Trish and Perry be able to overcome their differences and allow themselves to love?

I give this story 4.5 stars. It was fun to read about the well developed characters and I loved their interactions. It was a well written story with two people alone coming together and learning to rely on one another for support. I especially liked the epilogue.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The third book in this series was just as enjoyable to read and review as the others. This story is about Trisha, veterinarian friend of Raina in book two and Perry Logan retired vet who suffers from PTSD and lost his leg whose parents are Linda and Jimmy, Raina's neighbors also mentioned in the second book. One day earlier Perry just moved in his new home. When he wakes up the next day, he realizes his dog Apple is missing. Trisha finds a muddy wet-drenched dog yapping on her porch. She cleans it up and takes it to work and puts a notice up on a missing dog. Perry checks the veterinary and when he comes to pick Apple up, Trisha berates him. Feeling bad about yelling at Perry she goes to the local bar where Perry shows up. They start drinking and talking and hook up for the night but in the morning they have another fight. Trisha goes out on a date with Nathan who inherited a farm from his dad but she can't forget Perry. Will she chose Perry? Apple the dog who is the Houdini of escaping and showing up on Trisha's porch is cute and endearing, the snark and chemistry between Trisha and Perry along with some angst and twist and turns made this a very enjoyable read. This is a very cute romantic read I volunteer to review via Booksprout.

This is the story of Trisha the vet and her neighbor Perry the recently released military member. Unaware that anyone has moved into the house across from her, she finds a stray dog with no collar on her step. Being a vet, she brings the dog to work and posts about the found dog online. Meanwhile Perry and his best friend are frantically trying to find Apple his dog. Apple managed to escape from both the yard and her collar. Perry is in the process of unpacking as he has just moved in. He is planning on hiding away in a small town while he learns to deal with the loss of his leg and his PTSD. When he goes to pick up Apple from the Vet, she lets him know exactly what she thinks of irresponsible dog owners who don't take care of their pets. The encounter ends with neither one of them having a very high opinion of the other.

As circumstances throw them together; a relationship starts to form. Both are lonely. When they are together they seem to fill in the missing gaps for each other. I found this book easy to read and very enjoyable.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have loved this entire series and even though ach book can be read as a true stand alone do yourself a favour and read " Billionaire's Bun in the Oven" and "The Fireman I loved to Hate" you won't be disappointed This is the latest installment of this fun series and is Trish and Perry's story

Can you get two people who are more opposite she is a vet whose whole live revolves around helping people and animals He is a military veteran who lost a leg and suffers from PTSD he has recently returned to the town where his parents live and only a few days after arriving loses his dog Apple Trish is the one to find Apple and lays into him for been an irresponsible owner Feeling sorry for the thing she said she invites him out for a drink and they end up spending the night together Then with his usual gruff manner he offends her again and they end up fighting so she goes on a date with another man Nathan The only thing is that Trish and Perry are perfect for one another if they would just admit it but Nathan is determined to have her for his own.

This book was not quite what I expected. From the title, I thought it would be an enemies to lovers story between two neighbors, but the description threw in a few elements I wasn't expecting. I've read several of Jenna Gunn's books so I knew it was going to be great regardless. I loved the characters and the plot. Perry was super cute but struggles with PTSD. The subject was handled with extreme care, and I think gave an great descriptive of what people with PTSD go through in their day to day lives. Trisha is the friend all of us have, never afraid to speak her mind and be honest. She's tough, but not afraid to admit when she's wrong. The dynamics and chemistry between them were great. Perry has some insecurities and is adorable when he's nervous, but Trisha is very patient, understanding, and supportive to him through it all. Loved when he gave her the note and ran away before she could read it. So cute :) It was truly a great story to read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a really good story about an ex military amputee who falls in love with a veterinarian. A vet for a vet you could say. I especially enjoyed the storyline. It is well written. Perry is struggling with PTSD. Trisha isn't sure she wants a relationship. Perry saves Trisha from Nathan, one of her customers, who becomes overly possessive and controlling after she goes on 1 date with him. This helps to build on a connection Perry and Trisha feel for each other. I love the connection between Perry and Trisha. Their connection is strong even with the fact that they can't seem to get along at first. It started with a puppy on Trisha's doorstep. Their feelings for each other grow even stronger as their stories unfold and become one. I really Love Perry's puppy Apple; I wish I had a dog with her training.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
