Still, she accompanied Archer and his partner Jimmy, along with Alessandro and Ginger to Egypt from Italy to search for treasure which had been lost for seven hundred years. When Jimmy and Archer set out to do a midnight dive and search, it wasn’t long before they were being fired upon, and their runabout disintegrated around them. Swimming away and sheltering in a cave saw an explosion followed by a huge boulder covering the entrance. They were trapped…

Rosa, Ginger and Alessandro had gone to the festival with their two bodyguards, only to be attacked as they were driving away. Ginger was kidnapped, Alessandro injured and unconscious from the accident and Rosa on the run. Would Rosa’s baby be alright? And who was after them? What would be the outcome to this dangerous quest?

Treasured Whispers is the 4th in the Treasure Hunter series by Aussie author Kendall Talbot, after a five year interval since #3. I thought the trilogy was it after #3 but the author has now continued so I read my review for #3 before starting this one and was easily able to pick up the characters once again. But I needed to suspend my disbelief in Treasured Whispers, and could for most of it, but the very last was too much for me I’m afraid.

The author has issued a Warning: For readers who might be triggered by sensitive subject matter, this book contains scenes which depict incest. It is not graphic, however readers sensitive to this should read with caution.

With thanks to the author for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.
I was thinking that this series was finished at book three and now we have another, I really enjoyed being back with Archer, Rosalina and the rest of the treasure hunters as they go in search of more treasure this time we end up in Egypt for another action packed and dangerous time.

With Rosalina being pregnant Archer is doing all that he can to keep her safe and for the first dive trying to get the treasure they have been searching for a long time Archer sends Rosalina, Ginger and Alessandro off to see the sights and show at the temple while he and Jimmy dive in the man-made lake that is filled with crocodiles, it is extremely dangerous and very murky, when they are shot at they find themselves in a cave and discover a treasure even more valuable than what they were looking for.

When Rosalina, Ginger and Alessandro finish at the show they are followed and attacked on their way home, Ginger is kidnapped and Rosalina is hurt and does what she can to protect her baby. It takes quite some time before they are all back together again and some truths come out about who this time is causing the danger and how he is finding out about what is going on. But there is one more mission to finish and that is to save Jimmy from the underwater tomb.

This is another action packed installment in the series which I very much enjoyed, it is filled with danger as Archer and the team do what they can to protect themselves and the treasure they have found from a new but known nemesis, but I did love catching up with the characters that I have gotten to know in the previous stories, although I missed being on The Evangeline and I sometimes wonder how they survive after what they go through. The author has also given a waring with this book about incest in this book and that was something that I didn’t like. I am looking forward to the next book as I am sure it is going to be another cation packed installment. If you love lots of action and danger then this is a book I recommend.

My thanks to the author for my copy to read and review.
A race to find a 13th century treasure hidden beneath dark lake waters in Egypt has the treasure hunting team back in action and in more danger than ever. A hiatus of a few years had me thinking the earlier trilogy was the end of the series. However, the author chose to pick up the tantalizing leftover plot threads and begin a new series arc for which, I, for one, am tickled to death.

Treasured Whispers is the fourth book in the Treasure Hunters series and it does have connections to the previous trilogy. However, if a person wished to dive in with this one, there is enough in the beginning to get the reader up to speed and able to plunge forward with this new treasure adventure.

Archer and Rosalina are having a baby and both are excited to be parents and have a family together. But, for Archer, he has unfinished business that won’t let him leave it be. He feels drawn to find the remainder of the Calima Treasure that was his dad’s dream and became his own after his dad passed away. Rosalina is ambivalent about this and believes the treasure is cursed after all that has happened before.

And, when they learn that the scholar who was meant to help them decode the old documents has betrayed them and gone treasure-seeking on his own so that they are forced to rush to Egypt’s Abu Simbel Temple and try to regain lost ground on the search, she may just be right. For out of the shadows, an enemy treasure hunter who has sworn revenge on Archer wants to take the treasure and all that Archer holds dear and he puts in motion events that become dire circumstances for Archer and his team.

I am nearly breathless after finishing this book. That tends to happen with many of Kendall Talbot’s heart-stopping adventurous romantic suspenses. Granted, it took me a bit to get my legs under me when I first started because it had been a long while since I read the last book in the series. My memory was bad and I was glad to get re-introduced to Archer, Rosalina, Jimmy his partner, and the rest of their team, young Alessandro and the enigmatic Ginger. All their previous treasure hunting had been from aboard Archer’s beloved yacht, Evangeline, but they leave the Evangeline to hare across the sand to Lake Nasser and Abu Simbel for an Egyptian-set adventure.

Once things got introduced, Treasured Whisper was off to the races with a duel-pronged attack that left Archer and Jimmy imprisoned in an underwater cave and Rosalina and the rest of the crew attacked while at the Abu Simbel Temple light show with one kidnapped, one desperately injured, and everything a mess.

Like with the earlier books, the villain gets narration time along with the others so there are multiple points of view. Massimo was ruthless, but his mother was even more so and their relationship was squicky as the blurb hinted about the incest. Nothing on page, but beyond their cut-throat actions this familial ugliness was just extra grist for my ‘love to hate them’ mill.

While Archer and Rosalina are an established couple, all is not smooth sailing as they disagree on the treasure hunting focus he has and the danger it brings, but she insists on being right there with them. He wants her to stay distant and safe since she’s carrying their child, but the infernal man doesn’t get that she can’t do that when he puts himself in danger. Also, they get a bit of shock about one of their trusted people who had history with the rival hunters.

It turns out that a new season of the series has sprung up and there will be more treasure hunting adventures. I love this series that gets gritty and bloody and desperate, but somehow the crew led by Archer finds a way through. Loved how the author goes the extra mile with the setting so that Egypt comes alive as much as her characters and their situation. Definitely recommend to those who enjoy fast-paced action romance in exotic settings.

My thanks to the author for providing an eARC to be read in exchange for an honest review.

The Treasure Hunters are on the trail of the final piece of the Calima treasure but a betrayal has given the edge to a rival collector. Archer Mahoney and Rosalina are expecting their first child. When the trail leads to Egypt, Rosalina insists on joining the search, so Archer hires two bodyguards and insists that they stay with her and the team members at all times. The treasure lies somewhere under Lake Nasser and upon their arrival they learn that their rival has already begun a search operation. Leaving Rosalina and the remaining members of the team to view the evening light show at Abu Simbel, Archer and his diving partner Jimmy use the cover of darkness to explore the lake. An attack and an explosion leave them trapped in an underwater cave and fighting for their lives. Rosalina and the others also come under an attack that separates them. Kendall Talbot keeps the tension high as each one fights to survive.

Talbot’s characters have formed a family over the four books in this series. One of the team members is new to the group and has yet to earn Archer’s trust. He is unaware of their past relationship with his rival, but secrets have a way of being revealed at the worst time.

This is not just a tense story that keeps you in suspense, but also a well researched armchair journey to experience the sights and culture of Egypt. It will leave you looking forward to traveling with Archer, Rosalina and the hunters on their next adventure. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author and have become a true fan. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a thrilling escape.

Not sure if it is safe to travel but want an adventure of a lifetime? Then Treasured Whispers is the book for you. No plane ticket, mask or vaccination needed, just a comfortable chair and time to read. Treasured Whispers is the fourth in the fabulous Treasure Hunters by Kendall Talbot. I guess you could read this one on its own but the groups’ backstory is such a great one why would you?

Treasured Whispers begins with a planned treasure hunt and a family surprise. From there the villain is revealed as the crew travels to Egypt. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, writes a more interesting or convincing villain than Kendall Talbot. She has outdone herself in this time. I used to think the James Bond books and movies had the best villains but Ms. Talbot makes those that Bond faced look to be unruly children. Now don’t think I like these baddies. I hate them but they are complicated, tortured and determined in their vengeance or goals. I want them stopped, caught or whatever but they are certainly worthy adversaries for the heroes and heroines. This is certainly the case this time as all journey to Egypt.

Non-stop thrills, chills, danger, and adventure for the gang with a worthy opponent after them. I would give Treasured Whispers more than 5 Stars if I could. Not to be missed for any action, adventure fan.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Our favourite treasure hunters are back! With their greatest adventure yet! It has to be my favourite book in the series so far.
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of the book via Booksprout, and was excited to get stuck straight in. And let me say, it was a page turner of a book! I couldn’t put it down. There was not a stagnant page in the book. Every line was full of adventure, excitement, and adrenaline was seeping through the pages! And there were times I found myself physically holding my breath!
I really liked how Kendall changed things up a little bit in this novel, Evangeline is no longer the central hub of operations. It changed the entire scenery which was refreshing, and really showed how much the characters view this vessel as their safe haven. It also conveyed the urgency of this next treasure hunt, having to leave their home behind.
I am also amazed at Kendall’s ability to foreshadow the plot twists that occurred in this book in her previous novels. It was so good!! It felt like I couldn’t read fast enough! But that’s all I’ll say so as not to spoil all the twists, turns and surprises.
And Egypt! Sounds like an amazing travel destination! The culture and the history. I am inspired to learn more.
If you’ve loved the adventures so far, get ready for, in my opinion, the best one yet!

To change history as we know it or protect the ones you love? Tough choices for both our hero and heroine.

This is book four in the series. The book is written as a standalone and does well in the regard. There are definite references to past events, but you can figure out everything you need to enjoy this story pretty quickly.

This book fits into my ideal of a romantic suspense story, a story filled with action and adventure with a dose of romance on the side brought on by the perilous adventure. This story is all that with an intriguing plot full of twists and turns, clues revealed and puzzles solved. It seems at times that every mystery solved raises two more questions, but that does keep you glued to the page. The characters are well developed with solid and distinct personalities, including some definite flaws in the form of tunnel vision. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I am definitely looking forward to more.

Highly recommended.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes.

This is the 4th book in the Treasure Hunter series. It can be read as a stand alone book as the author give you the information you need from previous stories but I would recommend you read the others because they are definitely worth it (especially to see how the different relationships evolve). Within the first couple of pages in, I felt like I was catching up with long lost friends that I missed. The descriptions really take you there and put so many images, sounds and smells in your head .It felt like I was travelling to Egypt with them and ended up in some kind of Indiana Jones adrenaline packed adventure. It is the type of book very hard to put down once you start it because every chapter makes you want to go to the next. As usual I enjoyed the group dynamic and seeing them overcome hardships that came their way. No spoilers but for those of you who read the other books, you are in for a big shock!! I am also super excited to know there will be a 5th book coming soon :-)

'Treasured Whispers' by Kendall Talbot is the fourth book in her Treasure Hunters series and tells the story of Rosalina and Archer are heading to Egypt on their search for the treasure. This time they have a precious treasure of their on board as Rosalina was pregnant with their baby. As the team is traveling in Egypt they are attached and put into peril. Will Archer and Rosalina be able to overcome their adversaries? Will they finally discover the treasure they've been hunting?

Ms. Talbot has written a great addition to her series. The story has suspense, laughs, mystery, trust issues, passion, and plenty of heat. The chemistry between Rosalina and Archer is both sweet and hot. I liked how the team watched out for each other. Can't wait for the next story. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of drama with their romance.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

For the love of Treasure Hunting!

This ‘Treasured’ series is for anyone who loves stories of treasure hunters finding treasure and dealing with the dangers and difficulties involved, along with unscrupulous people trying to beat them to it. In this book 4 the tension continues to build, grabs you by the throat, gut-punches you, then pulls on your heartstrings – then does it all over again…and again! From Talbot’s many travels to many countries (including Egypt), she knows how to wrap her great fiction stories around true historical facts. And does Kendall Talbot 'have a way' with words? Absolutely! Every chapter, every time! I can hardly wait for Book 5! Even though these are stand alone stories, I highly recommend reading them all and getting to know all the places traveled….also, to learn about the main characters who continue in each of the books that tell about all the many ups and downs they have been through together. I give all 4 books 5 stars! ***** Outstanding!!
