This box set contains the three part story of Shelly and Luke. We met these characters in Colin and Allie's story which was told in Rough, Hard and Fierce. <br /><br />Shelly is a high class escort and Luke a police officer. She helped him with an investigation and was shot protecting someone. They both care for the other but neither believe they have a future because of their jobs. When Shelly is framed for a murder, Luke is the person she runs to. He's determined to keep her safe and take down the person determined to find her. <br /><br />We learned more about Luke and his past and found out about a secret he had been hiding. We also learn just how bad Shelly's home life was when she was younger. Both have suffered and come out on top considering their pasts and I was happy with the ending they received. <br /><br />Rose's story is next and I'm looking forward to Philip's as well. <br />

Shelly and Luke couldn´t be more opposite - she´s selling herself and he´s the straightlaced cop. When she´s his informant they form a bond that they can´t restist, but Luke won´t let them act on it. <br />Now that Shelly´s in trouble and really would need a helping hand - will he be there for her, and will she let him? When the threat turns out to be bigger than either expected they´ll have to fight for both their lives and their love. <br />Dark, contemporary romance, action, suspense and smutty fluff in a great combo. A three part series, so I rec reading them all together if you, like me, can´t stand cliffies and angst =)

My review for all three books are below. Love this series.<br />Wild:<br />This series keeps getting better. Shelly, Allie’s best friend, is trying to get out of prostitution but now she’s in trouble. She also has acquired “Ella” and is trying to help her get to safety when they both get set up. Ella is a mystery and is being forced into prostitution. Now they are hiding from Henry, the ruthless pimp. The only person who can help her is the person she betrayed and she doesn’t know if she can trust the person who she betrayed him for, the person she fell for. As she puts it “star-crossed lovers,” the hooker and the cop. I recommend reading this series and book. <br />*This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review and is all of my own opinion.<br /><br />Dirty:<br />A lot of secrets are revealed in this book. I think this was my favorite book in this series so far. We find out more about who “Ella” is and more about Shelly’s life growing up and how she ended up in prostitution. We find out about Luke’s history and how he ended up becoming a cop, what motivates him. This book was exciting and hot. Secret is the perfect name for this book and big secrets they are. It all comes out now. There is lots of action and drama in this book. This is a great conclusion for Shelly and Luke. Oh. My. God. This book touched every horrible thing you can possibly think off and somehow weaved a love story in it. <br /><br />Shelly is the main character now. She is a prostitute and has the worst of the pimps. Henri- he is psychotic and everyone wants him to die. Shelly is trying to save girls from his grasp. She tries to save Ella, and she brings her to Luke Cameron, her cop she helped in Sophie’s series. Except she overhears Luke talking on the phone of bringing Shelly in. So the girls run to Phillip. The dark Phillip. Shelly soon learns her and Ella are being framed for murder. So she goes out to clear her name and she ends up needing Luke’s help. They work together to get to Henri and finally try to end him. But situations can be planned but the unplanned always sink on those plans. <br /><br />Shelly and Luke are so far apart but they end up finding something in common and it’s not roses. This is a very dark story. It has to do with prostitution and all the horrors of that profession, murder, and manipulation. Shelly doesn’t know how to be real so she has try to dig deep to be if she wants to be with Luke. Just read with caution, it’s sick and sad.

<strong>These books are wonderful!</strong><br /><br />I could not put them down. The story of Luke and Smelly is engrossing, full of so many surprises,twists and turns. It was some revelations were shocking! The dark underbelly of many a large city would be shocking if those not a part of it only knew. The Chicago Underground series is a real eye-opener. Don't miss it. You will not be disappointed.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

Yes, this is an older read, but hey, my TBR is out of control! And, MUCH better. After the first part of this series (books 1-3) I admit I wasn’t in a hurry to read the rest, but this was so much better than the first set. If I had read all 6 start to finish, I may have had a better appreciation for Allie and Collin’s story. Shelly and Luke’s story was much more compelling. I love dark, dirty erotic romance, and this was pretty twisted at times. At first, Shelly’s ongoing internal monologue was a bit much. It was a critique from the first few books. Not enough direct dialogue from the main character Colin. But eventually I heard her voice as well as Luke’s. Both of them have solid walls around themselves to deal with their past which is slowly revealed to ones that could give you nightmares. You just knew Luke had something seriously wrong with him, and it was crushing to find out what! I think I liked Luke more than Shelly, even with the brutal sarcasm of truths spilling from her dirty mouth. It provided humor in the darkest moments, but sometimes it was a bit much. Luke is a tortured soul and you can feel his need for love even when he is at his worst. It can be annoying when your H/H assume what the other is thinking and it keeps them apart, but these two honestly had no reason to think the other would really love them. Kudos to Skye Warren for writing along that edge and making it work! There were quite a few characters to keep track of by the end, so it got a bit confusing for a while of who was where and doing what, but things circled back around by then end, and while it isn’t shiny and pretty, the HEA does happen. And the sex scenes are off the charts! The chemistry between these two is palpable. If you like raw, dirty, sexy angsty reads, this will probably do the trick.

This is the 4th book in this series and I am still confused as to what is going on. You get little glimpses of things happening but no explanations. I want to know what's going on with Luke. Why Shelley turned to prostitution. She seems to have had it all from the little bit that is told. So why would she take that route to rebel about what I think may have happened to her?<br />The author is good at keeping you in suspense. The books are well written but I wish they had more meat in them to give a clue as to what is going on.

<strong>Not sure if I liked this one</strong><br /><br />This is Shelleys story. A women abused young who entered the world of prostitution. She ends up a high class escort on the run from her pimp and trying to save a young women forced into hooking. She turns to Luke a cop she’s crazy about but can’t see a future with because of her profession. The plot is good but I found it hard to like Shelley. The story seemed to be building really but then it felt like the end was really rushed and shallow.
